'connected'
SOCC Women's Ministry 2011
"I believe God gives every woman a dream. Not the same dream, of course,
but a dream that is especially tailored for her talents and His purposes.
Each woman receives a dream that only she is destined to fulfill."
(Lysa Terkeurst in 'What Happens When Women Walk in Faith')
What is your dream? Do you recognize your purpose? Do you know the gifts and talents God has given you?
Do you have a plan?
What would you do if you were absolutely confident God was with you?
Pete Wilson in 'Plan B' poses this very real question - - what would we do?!
We challenge you to find a place to connect in women's ministry this fall.
Women's Ministry at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church offers many opportunites to realize true identity, to grow strong, meaningful girlfriend friendships, to build faith and trust in our God, to love more...
Check out the new Fall Bible study classes, groups and events!

Vade Mecum
(A book club for people who desire to dig deeper.)
Vede Mecum is a Latin word meaning "go with me" and refers to a book, such as a guidebook. Although this word is not commonly used, the concept is very relevant for Christians who are reading, studying and growing in their relationship with God. You are invited to Vade Mecum (go with me) on a journey as we examine Christian classics, read new authors and learn more about God. From One Single Mother to Another answers questions like, How will I handle the loneliness? Pay bills with one income? Guide my daughter or son through their growing years? Find the right kind of housing? Deal with dating again? This study shows you that you and your children have bright tomorrows if you lean on the Lord and seek His strength.

The Vision of the Cancer Prayer Ministry...
To make a difference in the lives of women facing cancer or watching a loved one go through this illness. To share experiences and share encouragement by doing life together.
Don't Worry...
Isaiah 26:3-4
"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they
trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord, is the Rock eternal."
What if I can't do this? What if I'm not strong enough? What if I ask silly questions? What if I fail? What if I die? What if? What if? It's amazing how many things we find to worry about. Even when we can justify it. We have cancer for heaven's sake! Our loved one has cancer! I'm allowed to worry! However, we have a choice. We can worry or we can pray. Only when we rely on the Rock eternal will we find the perfect peace we long for. And then we can share it with others going through the same tough time. Come join us in the Mission of Hope Ministry and share your story...
