Most apparent symptoms would be a lump or tenderness around the breast, It is said that people should rub their breast periodically for early detection of brest cancer. If you rub around your breast once a month, it can make a difference because the faster a doctor can diagnose breast cancer.
People should note that a breast cancer lump does not have to appear around the nipple, but it extends to the underarm. The appearance of the nipple. If the nipple gets too big or the skin around the nipple starts to change then you should immediately seek a doctor.

The older women get the more at risk they are for getting breast cancer. Participating in self breast examinations will help to treat the disease, if a cancerous lump is found.
Not only does breast cancer affect women, it affects all parties involved. This diease can be life changing for families, especially for those who are unfortunate and lose a loved one. Gaining awareness about this matter will help women to take preventative measures neccessary to living a heathly life.

Susan G. Komen for the cure
A global movement started in the memory of Susan G. Komen, started by her sister in 1982. Consists of a %k race which is 3.1 miles and a 1 mile route, participants can either walk or run. Participants are required to pay a registration fee. Registration for this race begins in the spring.
The money that is raised goes to research, public health education, screening services, and treatment services. Since it has been founded they have awarded various cancer grants amounting to more than $180 million.
Pink Ribbon Challenge
Takes place during October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Chanllenge is recognized nationally by radio stations and celebrities.
The purpose is to raise money so that undeserving women can get free mammograms.
Simply visit your favorite radio stations website, click on the pink ribbon banner which will direct you to the Breast Cancer website. Then click on "fund free mammogram" which translate to monetary contributions for corporate sponsors.
