Why Join a Club? WE NEED YOU!
In Wisconsin, we have over 26,000 miles of trails. These trails were created and are maintained by snowmobile clubs, entirely self-funded through registration fees, gas tax fees, or clubs raising money on their own. Clubs get the easements to ride across private land, clear brush from the trail, and put up and take down signs every year. In the winter, we groom the trails.
Your registration fees do not guarantee you there will be trails, nor do the gas tax fees that you contribute. It merely gives you the right to ride on public trails, and there wouldn't be trails without clubs, so join one.

What a season. We're not used to this. Maybe well have a run of some good seasons? This will be the last letter of the season. Last letter I thanked the members, this letter Id like to take the time to THANK the Groomer guys and the Trailheads. Im hoping youve been able to get out and pull your signs. Overall I thought the trails were marked pretty good, a few sections could use a few more blazers and the corners made wider for the groomer. If youve been on our trails, youll see what I mean. I noticed that the laminated little maps we put up faded so bad that you could not make out what was on them. No need to put these up if this is the case. Maybe we can try the bigger maps that weve had in the past? Im hoping that you will all be doing your sections again, if not please, let us know ahead of time so we can try to find a replacement for you. When you are in need of signs, post, gates, ribbon, nuts & bolts, let me know, we can always get more supplies as needed. We want to make sure our trails are marked good to find our way and for safety. Also if you ever lose or gain a Landowner, please let me know so I can keep our list updated. As for the Groomer guys, it sounded like you did a good job keeping the trails groomed. We had a lot of compliments.
THANKS again for all that you guys do!!!
At our March meeting we had a balance of $3,377.00 in our checking. Ronnie Seibel gave his report on the CVSO. At the Sno-Hawks meeting we had reports on a savings of $500.00 doing the Landowners gifts different this year. We talked about having an "End of the year" bowling party. With a show of hands we will again be doing this. I have reserved Friday, April 16th at 8:00 PM at the Bloomer Bowl. Members will pay for their games ($2.50 per game, shoes, no charge) plus $5.00 per person (adults) towards the food and drinks. They would like us to call with a count of people attending. You do not have to bowl, but still come and enjoy the camaraderie and watch the rest of us try to bowl. So please call with a count of people attending. If anyone has any ideas as different ways of bowling, give us your ideas. In the past weve tried to bowl with the opposite hand. There were comments on our Hayward trip. We will look into this again next year. We received our Tax Exempt status from the IRS. At this April meeting the students that have applied for a Sno-Hawks Scholarships will need to read their essay at this meeting. At this time there is only 3 applicants. If anyone would be interested in handing these out at the Banquet May 26th at the High School, just give me a call. At this time for the April agenda, will be the Scholarships and reminders of the Fest sign up. The winner of the March door prize was Dave Reischel. Im thinking that the Easter Bunny may have something to do with the April prize!!! I also was ask to put in our letter if there is an interest for people with 4-wheelers to have or join a 4-wheeler club and to try to get more trails in the county. If so, please call Doug Johnson at 237- 2613. So until next season, have a great and safe summer and THANKS again for being a Sno-Hawk.
See you at the meeting
