BERNINI
Gian Lorenzo
- Eleana Sklobovskaya - Belmont University - Course 2520 -
It is by no mistake that when the term "Baroque" is mentioned, it is paired in thought with the artist, Gian Lorenzo Bernini. A sculptor, painter, and architect, Bernini's artistic skill was noticed before he even saw his tenth year on this Earth. Protected and cared for lavishly by eight different Popes, Bernini's influence is hard to miss in Rome, even today.

This website aims to highlight life and the major works of Bernini, especially the work entitled Apollo and Daphne, featured on the left as well as in the page entitled "Masterpiece."
