Reason- Toxic, Irritates the skin, known to cause skin rashes, dermatitis and rosacea, Also found in breast tissue of cancer patients.
Aluminum
Reason- Very toxic and has been linked to Alzheimers disease in numerous studies.
Synthetic Colorants -(Labeled D&C or FD&C)
Reason- Often contains aluminum, irritates skin cells and is a suspected carcinogen.
Petroleum Derived Ingredients -(Petroleum, Mineral Oil, Vaseline)
Reason- Clogs pores may cause acne or dry skin and often contains carcinogens.
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate
Reason- Known to damage the skins outer layer and is a suspected carcinogen.
Formaldehyde
Reason- Formaldehyde is toxic, allergenic, and carcinogenic. Also known to irritate eyes and cause headaches.
Synthetic Fragrance
Reason- Toxic, highly allergenic, many chemicals used in fragrances are unregulated and unlisted.
Toluene
Reason- Known to be toxic and narcotic.
Phthalates
Reason- Mimics estrogen in the body; Known to cause hormonal imbalance in the body and affect reproductive toxins; associated with birth defects in children and low sperm counts in men.

Neroli has a wide variety of amazing benefits for the skin such as; regulating oiliness minimizing large pores, clearing acne (especially if skin lacks moisture), regenerating cells, and stimulating collagen production thus improving skins elasticity. Carrot Tissue Extract
Carrot tissue is excellent for dry, aging or wrinkled skin as it stimulates skin cell renewal. Carrot tissue contains Beta-carotene, vitamins A, B, C, D, and E.
Sweet Orange Essential Oil
Orange essential oil has many beneficial properties for helping acne prone skin types. It is anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, bactericidal, fungicidal; it is also a nervous sedative and a lymphatic stimulant. Orange essential oil also has very high levels of vitamin C which help to improve elasticity by stimulating collagen production in the dermis. It also has remarkable healing prperties.
Lavender
Essential oil of lavender has amazing antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Lavender extract is known to heal acne, and treat skin burns and inflammatory conditions of the skin.
Mandarin Essential Oil
Mandarin essential oil contains high levels of vitamin C which is amazing for stimulating skin cells in the dermis to create collagen, thereby improving elasticity. Mandarin is also phenomenal for preventing stretch marks and scarring and for calming muscle spasms and cramps.
Blue Chamomile Extract
Blue chamomile extract has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-allergenic properties making it a great choice for sensitive, dry or inflamed skin. With continued use blue chamomile extract can also reduce the red, broken capillaries on the skin.
Rosehip Seed Oil
Rosehip seed extract is phenomenal for preventing scaring, healing burns, softening scars and keloids, reducing fine lines, rejuvenating skin cells, and healing broken capillaries. It contains fatty acids: oleic- 14.22%, palmitic- 3.71%, linoleic- 45%, linolenic- 33.08%, vitamins C, A, B3, tannins, pectin, polyphenols, carotenoids, and volatile oil.
Hemp Seed Oil

Kukui Seed Oil

Lemongrass Lemongrass not only has a lovely lemony fresh smell, but is also known for its antifungal, analgesic, antidepressant and antiseptic properties. Lemongrass is also known to naturally control perspiration.
Eucalyptus
Eucalyptus has amazing antiseptic and pain relief properties, making it a key ingredient for acne prone skin types.
Lime The therapeutic properties of lime pure essential oil are refreshing and uplifting. The main constituents in lime essential oil are limonene, bergapten, citral, camphene, and linalool. All of these substances are antiseptic and astringent. This makes lime essential oil great for treating acne.
Nettle
This miracle herb is highly effective for soothing allergic skin disorders. Nettle has strong anti-inflammatory properties that soothe itchy skin and delivers many nutrients including calcium, carotene, chlorophyll, formic acid, iodine, iron, magnesium, potassium, silicon, sodium, sulfur, tannin, vitamins A and C.
Silk Silk powder helps the skin to retain its natural moisture, preventing dryness while absorbing excess sebum. Silk powder also helps balance the skin's (PH) levels and is ideal for sensitive skin due to its anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
Zinc Oxide
This natural mineral helps to shield against UVA and UVB rays and is also very soothing, softening, healing, and antibacterial.

Allantoin is used in the treatment of skin ulcers, wounds, burns and sunburns, acne and skin eruptions, abrasions, impetigo, eczema and psoriasis. Allantoin is a valuable cell-proliferating healing agent that stimulates healthy tissue formation.
Meadowfoam Seed Oil
Meadowfoam seed oils vast array of amazing benefits for the skin include light moisturing, ultraviolet protection, non-greasy, easy absorption, reduction of signs of aging, adheres well and is a binder for other ingredients. It contains - 98% long-chain fatty acids (making it very stable), and also has high triglyceride levels.
Macadamia Nut Oil Macadamia is a light oil that is easily absorbed. Due to its similarity to sebum, macadamia is easily tolerated by skin that is acne prone. Although it is a very light extract, macadamia is rich in nutrients and is very effective at keeping the skin supple. It contains - fatty acids including mostly oleic, but also palmitic, linoleic, and linolenic.
Hazelnut Hazelnut oil is a phenomenal carrier oil, because it is very light and fast absorbing. Hazelnut is also known to soothe inflamed skin making it a great choice for sensitive or acne prone skin types.
Geranium
Geranium is an astringent and antiseptic that balances oily skin and helps conditions such as acne and eczema.
Coconut Oil Coconut oil is excellent oil for the skin. It acts as an effective moisturizer on all types of skins including dry skin. The benefit of coconut oil on the skin is comparable to that of mineral oil, preventing dryness and flaking of skin. It also delays wrinkles, and sagging of skin which normally become prominent with age.
Cocoa Butter Cocoa butter is a rich fat, and so it has excellent moisturizing and skin-softening properties. It is easily absorbed by the skin; it allows moisture in without blocking the skin's ability to breathe. Pregnant women have long used to cocoa butter formulations to prevent stretch marks.
Blue Chamomile Blue chamomile is an analgesic, anti-allergenic, antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, bactericidal and calmative agent. Comfrey Root Powder Comfrey root encourages healthy and fast re-growth of damaged skin cells. Its various beneficial properties accelerate tissue healing and help to close wounds. When applied to the skin, it minimizes scars and can improve skin tone. Comfrey root has a wide variety of nutrients that benefit the skin such as; protein, vitamins (A, B & C), fiber, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, iron, magnesium, sulphur, copper, zinc and selenium.
Vegetable Glycerin Vegetable glycerin is a compound that comes from vegetable oil, usually palm or coconut. It has strong moisture retention properties that are vital for skin in order to remain fresh, youthful and healthy. Vegetable glycerin's natural ability to draw oxygen into the skin is beneficial for anti-aging and its hypoallergenic, antibacterial and healing capabilities aid in preventing breakouts by keeping pores clear as well as healing present acne lesions. I find the eczema cream (E-Cream), not only soothing, but it does the job. I've had itchy skin on my forehead for a long time, the cortisone cream from the doctor, clears it for a little while, but then it comes back. Too much cortisone is not good, as you know.
I really like your other products too, specially the 'soothe' at 82 yrs old, I don't look for miracles, but I do like comfort and truly nutritionally rich products.

I am a young woman who likes to go out, have fun and wear heavy makeup from time to time. I have never really had horrible skin, just some blemishes and occasional pimples, but since using Skinessence, I have found that my face appears to have a natural radiant glow about it and I hardly ever break out. The Neroli Facial Moisturizer feels so good! I know it is moisturizing my face and stays with me all day but it also has no scent to battle with my perfume. I really like everything I have got from SkinEssence.
The last time I was at the doctor's for a checkup, I had a nurse-practitioner tell me that I have rosacea . I had a prescription for a topical treatment called "Metrogel" which didn't help much. Then she gave me a prescription for tetracycline, which I filled, but have not taken as you are supposed to stay out of the sun and I love the sun.

First of all, let me just say that this is the first letter I have ever sent commending a product, but in this case, I simply had to do so.
I am now 39 years old and ever since I was a boy I have been troubled by eczema on my eyelids and earlobes (inexplicably much more on my right earlobe than my left). The eczema has been erratic - sometimes flaring up and at other times being less of an issue. Over the years I've tried a few products. My doctor once prescribed a steroid cream which, understandably, I was reluctant to use. Being a fan of natural skincare products - I usually use Dr. Hauschka - I recently tried a Soothing Calendula Salve by a company called Healing Anthropology. Although it smells nice it wasn't really effective for me.
A couple of weeks ago when I was in my local health food store - Healthy Planet in Markham - I decided to try neem oil as I'd read that it's sometimes effective. The store assistant actually went on to specifically recommend your product - E-Cream. I decided to try it because I liked the fact that it was 100% natural and organic, but was somewhat sceptical as to whether it would work (as nothing else I'd tried ever had). Well after about a week of using the product twice a day, the eczema on my eyelids has cleared up completely. As for my my earlobes, it hasn't completely gone but is much better than before.
I'm very happy to say that E-Cream actually worked for me and would like to congratulate you on such a good product. Please don't stop making it.

I have independently studied health and nutrition since late my teens, and I know that the transdermal effects of using good skin care products simply translate to better health, since the skin can absorb many times what our digestive system can, so it is crucial to me that what I use on my skin is as high integrity as what I eat. I can say I have tried practically everything on the market that uses the word natural and/or organic such as; Miessence, John Masters, Suki, Dr. Bronners, Dr. Hauschka, Jiade, Eminence, Sophyto, Weleda, etc. just to name a few. They are all great products but most of them are still laced with unwanted ingredients (note: if you cant pronounce the ingredient then chances are, it cant be that good for you). I am now 30 years-old and for over a decade, I have wanted to find a skin care line that fulfilled my desire to nourish my sensitive-Asian-skin but still have a skin care routine that is minimal in order to keep up with my busy lifestyle of work and travel. I found just the skin care line while preparing for a business trip to Dubai last summer. I wanted a light, non greasy moisturizer since the Dubai summers are unlike any thing you could ever imagine. It reaches average temperatures of 40C with high percentage of humidity and the current organic moisturizer I was using would have been too heavy. I accidently came across SkinEssence while browsing at the Big Carrot in Toronto. I began reading the label and was impressed by the ingredient listing because there were no preservatives, fillers and water used to formulate the products. I had faithfully used the SkinEssence cleanser (morning/evening), the Nourish serum (morning/evening) and Facial in a Jar (3 times/week) and after spending two-weeks in Dubai, my skin looked radiant when I returned home. The serum absorbed quickly and it never made my skin feel greasy, sticky or leave an unwanted shine. I continued to use the SkinEssence products right through the winter months and still my face continued to be nourished, never flaky, dull or dry.

Vegetable Glycerin Vegetable glycerin is a compound that comes from vegetable oil, usually palm or coconut. It has strong moisture retention properties that are vital for skin in order to remain fresh, youthful and healthy. Vegetable Glycerins natural ability to draw oxygen into the skin is beneficial for anti-aging and its hypoallergenic, antibacterial and healing capabilities aid in preventing breakouts by keeping pores clear as well as healing present acne lesions. Allantoin Allantoin is a healing, moisturizing, soothing and anti-irritating natural component found in comfrey root, wheat germ, and as an organic component of many soils. Allantoin has a pronounced keratolytic and skin softening action, acts as chemical debrider of necrotic and scaling tissue. Allantoin is used in the treatment of skin ulcers, wounds, burns and sunburns, acne and skin eruptions, abrasions, impetigo, eczema and psoriasis. Allantoin is a valuable cell-proliferating healing agent which stimulates healthy tissue formation.
Using approximately a "quarter size" of cleanser on the palm of your hand, add a sprinkle of water and rub both hands together. By doing this you will generate a slight lather. Massage onto skin and then rinse.

This amazing serum is designed specifically for those with dry skin that may also be damaged or aging. It has many revitalizing properties that do wonders for rejuvenating the cells and capillaries of the skin. This serums ingredients and purpose are similar to those found in the Nourish serum, but the Neroli has been altered to provide heavier moisturizing capabilities for those whose skin needs a bit more nourishing.

1. Always make sure the serums are shaken well before applying so that all of the key ingredients are present in each application.
2. To ensure deep absorption of all the key ingredients, massage the serums into the skin for at least 10-20 seconds.
*Tip- After cleansing your skin and before applying the serum, splash some cold water on your face. The cold water will help to close your skins pores and the moisture on the face will also allow the serum to spread easily and evenly. Water also has a natural capillary action which will help to pull the vitamins and minerals into your skin, leaving a healthy glow!!
