Graduates of Leeds Metropolitan University, founding members Matthew Allen and Anton Krasauskas have in that time written and toured original and exciting work, alongside their continuing efforts to showcase and develop the talents of other local artists and performers.Wrap Around: Pre- and post-performance discussions for both audiences and professionals, lecture demonstrations for professional artists and academics. Showcase Events in gallery spaces and festivals. What We Do:The Skeleton Project specialises in theatre and performance, with seven productions written and performed since 2005, though in recent years have branched out into other media.Theres stuff we can do onstage and not onscreen, and vice versa. So we made a film version of [first production] I.T.C.H. The same goes for music and art. There are things that we can say which suit other media more than theatre.Recent forays outside of the theatre have culminated in short films such as Spread, art installations and exhibitions in and around Leeds, as well as a dark musical soundtrack which continues to feature in new productions; a trademark sound for a trademark production company.Interested in showcasing new talent, The Skeleton Project created NEWK, a regular platform for developing work which takes the form of three short previews of work by other artists. It offers them the opportunity to test material in front of audiences, as well as to gauge interest in the arts in the region. The work the company creates is based on a scripted text narrative. The company work in collaboration with a number of artists and have an expansive practice that includes film, theatre, music and art. Their work ranges from intimate performances and art in unusual places to toured theatrical performances that include an original soundtrack and mix video and live performance. The Skeleton Project is interested in the connection between the audience and the performer.

Its been a bit of a Trek. Nothing has been finished and time seems to have been speeding up for the last five years. Its been 34200 seconds and 162 miles. Some things are facts, others may be lies. There is a set of rules to follow but no one has bothered to tell us what they are. Now there is only 3600 seconds left. It all comes to this. Welcome to the catacombs of our mind. Trek is a contemporary performance. It is scripted. It is improvised. It is rule based, but probably not at the same time. It took five years to make and has never been rehearsed. The piece is performed by the two core members of The Skeleton Project, Matthew Allen & Anton Krasauskas.

Lolz is a contemporary comedy performed by Matthew Allen & Anton Krasauskas, the core members of The Skeleton Project. The show explores the idea, that the Internet is the sum of human knowledge, and that the experience of using the Internet is a continual rehash and regurgitation, of that knowledge.The hour-long mixes original music and projection with a performance of an original script. As with all productions by The Skeleton Project the show will be different every time it is performed.

'Welcome to the catacombs of my psyche. This is a guide to me.' Join me exploring how I construct thoughts, what I think about my life, the media and how I cope with being a mental weirdo. "TRIP TICK was developed to be versatile to any space, without need for props, set or costume TRIP TICK is intended to be an individual and different experience each time it is performed. The piece is led by a scripted text of short monologues, song lyrics, nonsense rantings and is driven by audience interaction and improvisation.

'"I've been going over this in my head for the last 9 years. I know what I was supposed to say but didn't. I have it all prepared, I know what's going to happen. I've been going over i...t in my head for the last 9 years.I don't mean to repeat myself. I can't help myself. It's a nervous thing. It will be better once I've practiced a bit. Will you tell me what you think?" RISE was developed to be versatile to any space, without need for props, set or costume RISE is intended to be an individual and different experience each time it is performed. The performance explores artists connections to old influences and why we revisit them in the making process.

This 10-minute comedy follows the fortunes of Hugh, an aspiring musician/writer/filmmaker who comes under scrutiny from two of the 'ordinary folk' - regulars at the pub in which he is supposed to be playing that afternoon. With all his energies focused on simply 'making it' he is faced with a question - how best to 'make it'?Produced in the summer of 2010, multimedia arts company The Skeleton Project presents Spread: a cautionary tale of spreading yourself too thin. It was selected for inclusion in the 2010 Moor Music Festival programme, in a cosy late-night slot for those seeking an alternative to all that rave music. Watch HERE

NEWK

Newk is platform for emerging and established practitioners to test a performance to a supportive audience which includes invited guests, informed peers and people who may never experience your work if it was not for this platform. Newk is short for NEw and unfinished WorK. The platform is for solo artists, performance companies and collaborations of any size. Each event showcases three performances selected by The Skeleton Project. The simple application form includes what will be seen on stage, what is the context of the work and why you will benefit from showing it at this stage; this helps us select interesting, well thought out work that will truly benefit from audience feedback. The event is for those working in new and contemporary theatre, dance and live art. At the end of the performances supportive audience feedback and questions for the artists is led by the host. Each event is hosted by an established practitioner who also offers individual feedback to each performance. Newk will run 3 times in 2012 and is supported by Arts Council England , New Work Yorkshire and Stage _ Leeds.If you are interested in applying for Newk please e-mail Matthew Allen at info_skeletonproject.co.uk with NEWK in the subject line and request a form. The next NEWK will take place at Stage_Leeds on February 2. Tickets to attend NEWK are only £2 to see all three performances. Audience feedback is optional. Newk is supported by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.

ELEVEN

On 11.11.11 at 11pm The Skeleton Project began a new project called ELEVEN.Over the next 11 weeks we will be setting ourselves a weekly task. In 11 weekseverything we have created will be showcased at an exhibition in Leeds.We thought this would be a great opportunity to connect with other artists inthe region, to get people to work in fields they may not usually work in or toshowcase work in a field they already work in so we have opened up the tasks toa public call out for contributions. You do not need to complete all 11 tasks;you can do any ones you wish.Every Friday we will be putting up our next task on the ELEVEN facebook group,which anyone can join. If you don't have a facebook account you can e-mail me ona Friday to get your weekly task.You can then submit what you have made over the week. All entries will beshowcased online & selected entries will be in our exhibition.Tasks will include painting, photography, music/sound, film, performance,writing and design and other things, four other things to be precise.The first task running from 11.11.11 until 11.18.11 is photography.The brief is simple Take photos, pick 11 that work well together, or on a theme of your choosing,upload them online & send me a link.If you need help finding somewhere to upload them email me.The next task will begin on 11.18.11 at 11pm.The facebook group is:http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/273151802729844/My email is: info_skeletonproject.co.uk
