Six: At Home
a zopyra theatre production
Six pieces. Six performers. One house.
A guided theatrical adventure at Laurier House
Zopyra Theatre, winner of the 2007 Ottawa Fringe Festival "Best Ensemble" Award, returns to this year's Fringe with their new original creation Six: At Home.
Six: At Home is a site-specific, collaboratively-devised performance taking place at Parks Canada historic site Laurier House. The performance consists of six eight-minute theatre bites, each conceived and performed by a different actor in a different room of the house. The audience, divided into six groups of eight per show, will be led from room to room to see each piece.
This unique project is directed by emerging Ottawa theatre artist Emma Zabloski, whose work has been described by the Ottawa Xpress as displaying "sheer creativity and originality".
Join the Six: At Home cast on an exciting journey, from basement to bathroom to Mackenzie King's original seance room, where they will bring to life forgotten residents and events of Ottawa's past.
Heads up: This performance involves standing, climbing stairs, making contact with other humans, and having an exquisitely delightful time.
