She has been called "ubiquitous" and there could be no better word. Katie Robinette enjoys all aspects of the music business and likes to keep active in as many avenues as possible. This includes actively singing Jazz, Blues, & Mo-town to 80s Pop/Rock Covers
Her love of music began early on while running around the house in a leotard, wearing headphones and singing to Cyndi Lauper. Her first apperance on a stage was as a 4 year old doing tap, jazz & ballet. Her love of the music side of things progressed as she joined community youth choirs in middle school and onto community musical theatre. In High School, Katie's family relocated to Central Pennsylvania where she immediately involved herself in local Community Theatre, High School Theatre, Choir as well as regional Honors Choir. Soon enough she found herself auditioning for her very first Band, or shall we say 'Pop Group.' She made the audition and joined a guy/girl singing and dancing group called 'As1'. During the boy band era she sang and danced her way in front of Universal and Virgin Record Execs and performed in front of thousands for the famed Showtime at The Apollo.
Meanwhile, Katie discovered another love; the love of writing music. Katie attended the famed Musician Institute in Hollywood, California for Commercial Recording and finished out her college years at York College of Pennsylvania with her Bachelors in Music Industry & Recording Technology all while improving her vocal chops with diverse and innovative training. in Classical with Mr. James Valliant and in the Jazz, Blues, Pop & Improv arena with Mr. Patrick Shields and Heather Sneeringer.
Katie has been a member of outstanding Cental Pennsylvania music groups like Sugar Me Sweet, Just Like Prom Night & Katie & The Gray Beards and has been steadily preparing for her solo album. She regularly participated in commercial work and on special projects for other artists.
She has recently relocated to the South- West Florida area where she is currently working as a duo with guitarist Ben Roberts.
