HOME High Spirits Junior Dance & Drama Club
High Spirits was established in 1998
in Youghal, Co Cork.
High Spirits is Youghal’s longest running dance and drama club for boys and girls aged between 4 and 16 years of age.
Classes are held every Friday in the
Youghal Community Centre.
Age 4 – 5 3.30pm – 4.30pm
Age 6 – 9 4.30pm – 5.30pm
Age 10 + 5.30pm – 6.30pm
In our weekly classes, the time is divided between dancing, drama and drama games. The kids have great fun and they get to explore where their natural talents are.
We aim to put on a full production every year where every child gets to perform on stage in the community centre for 3 nights to crowds of between 100 - 200 people.
Every child is encouraged to perform in front of their piers and they learn from each other and grow with confidence.

Safety & Code of Conduct SAFETY
We always have 2 teachers in attendance, and we also have a back up if one teacher can't make it so there is plenty of supervision. The children use the restrooms in the dressing rooms backstage so they never leave the hall during class. The younger children are accompanied out to the front foyer and are collected there by their parent/guardian/minder. If a child is not collected on time, they are brought back into the main hall until they are collected. They are not allowed outside the front door until they are with their adult. Sinead is a qualified first-aider and we always have a first aid box to hand. CLASS GUIDELINES
Comfortable loose clothing must be worn e.g. tracksuit. Jeans and skirts are not suitable. Comfortable shoes must be worn e.g. runners. Sandles, high heels and boots (uggs) are not suitable. Hair must be kept tidy and back off the face. Only water or still juice allowed during class time. No edibles (sweets crisps etc) allowed including chewing gum. CODE OF BEHAVIOUR
Bullying and bad behaviour will not be tolerated. The teachers and fellow pupils must be respected at all times. Parents will be notified of continuous or serious bad behaviour. INFORMATION:

COSTS:
Each class costs just €5 per child, you may pay by the month or term. Missed classes must be paid for.
Annual membership is €20 per child and €15 for the second child in the same family.
