Blikkiesdorp
Blikkiesdorp is a 'temporary relocation area' in Delft in the Western Cape. The people that dwel in this township have been forced to live in a state of poverty and have recieved no help from the goverment or anybody else. They have been told that they will be receiveing housing from the government but as yet no housing has materialised, the township only grows larger. Called 'Blikkiesdorp' because of the shiny tin shelters they are forced to live in there are now over 14 000 people that live there.These images were taken in conjunction with Lizane Louw Photography.
