Simaaron is currently based in Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaIt all started when I was 8 years old. I played with my dads' Fujica SLR and snapped random pictures around the house. Everything you see on my web has been processed by myself. Some were subtle and others may take more time. Photoshop completes the cycle of modern digital photography. On the other hand, I also emphasize on initial lighting and exposure as they are the most crucial element of a well composed photograph.Do you have a million lenses ?Nope. In fact if I could rent or borrow, I would. Why not Aaron Sim ?I signed up for my first internet username for an internet game when I was 11. I didn't know how the first name and last name system works (you know, first name comes after last name) so when it appeared on the web, it was "simaaron". After years of using, it kind of got stuck like a brand name. None of my friends calls me that in real life though.Do you travel often ? How do you afford the travelling expenses ?Travelling is one of my biggest hobbies after photography and music. I am always fascinated by what the world has to offer and meeting different kinds of people. Being born and raised in Malaysia, I am drawn to things far away from home, the unique cultures and faces of people around the world. I don't stay at hotels rather, I stay in the cheapest guesthouse that I could find. I would stay with a friend if he or she happens to live in that country and welcomes me. I think travelling that way gives more adventure.Furthermore, as a touring photographer for music bands, I do get to travel with them to international destinations if such an opportunity comes by.
