Silver Screen Arts is a full service media studio, based out of Lexington, KY with additional offices in Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and Minneapolis. Our team is working together to be known as one of the best digital media studios in the midwest. We're already well on our way to being precisely that.
As media needs change, we change with them -even working with technologies that have been birthed in the last few months. We pride ourselves in doing match-point service against our competition, and our goal is to grow exponentially into a studio known for bleeding-edge media impact.
Our team has been making live-action and multimedia productions for over twenty years, and we're loving every minute of it. With a range of clients and creative services, we're known for producing quality award-winning work in every major maket, from network television to live action cinema.
Live action is one of the biggest arms of our business simply because it merges all forms of our efforts. Having shot 35mm and 16mm films, as well as digital HD, our directors of photography can create projects in any production environment, both on location or in a studio setting.
Our post-production team works in multiple NLE formats, and they have created media for Digibeta, HDCAM SR, D2, D5, XDCAM and Blu-Ray. Our exposure to these formats have made us experts in our field. Take a look at some of our work.
"Silver VFX" is the name of our digital effects division. Our CGI services range from 3D modeling, compositing, green and blue screen, rotoscope, character creations and more. Our team of digital media CGI experts work together as a singular force to pull of projects both large and small. We're excited to take your project from storyboard to final project with maximum impact.
Our owner and director is a graduate from CalArts; a school known for directors and animators the likes of Tim Burton ( Batman / Alice in Wonderland ), John Lassiter
( Toy Story / Finding Nemo ), and Brad Bird ( The Incredibles ). His extensive exposure to anination, and working hands-on with the same tools as the directors listed gives us an edge unlike any other local media firm. Many of our animators are working in short formats for the Internet, but we're also working on feature films.
With the convergence of media and the Internet, a whole new field has emerged for your marketing and design needs. We have social networking experts that can help with SEO ( Search Engine Optimization ), content developers that work with copy to create e-learning courses on emerging technologies, and application developers for ipad, iphone, ipod and mobile technologies.
We create video programs along with the much needed technological additive of directing Internet social traffic. We'll help your product and business with social services that can create viral exposure to the media we create.
Our owner was part of the worlds first New Media Masters degree in the United States, and because of this, our team is directed with skill directly on the bleeding edge of some of the Internets latest technologies for media.
Our team consists of several animators that work in many mediums. From traditional paper animation, 2D / 3D digital, and flash, we create and immerse your animation project into every available distribution format.
You may need a simple animation for a video, or perhaps a flash-based ad for inclusion in a website, web ad or iad. You may also want something more unique for an ipad, or iphone, an e-learning course, or a movie trailer. We'll give you a visual, shot-by-shot storyboard so you know exactly where we're where going, or where you want to take us.
Animations impact is almost immediate. We can work in 12fps, 24fps, 30 fps or more. All of our work is done in HD resolution or higher, so you can be confident that what we create for you can be used in high-end projects, or down-converted for the Internet, SD television, portable tablets or mobile devices.
Our primary 12 areas of development are sustained by 12 project managers. These project managers function in a clear stream of communication by sharing responsibilites in all the technical and administrative levels of a project. Under this team of twelve is a group of 124 designers hand-picked by our senior project manager over a term of 4 years. We feel that the slow development of our team has given us the necessary resources so that everything we work on has the right sub-teams working together to make your project effective -all under the supervision of your primary project manager.
Beyond our 124 designers, we have a list of over 100 vendors that we consistently use. Because of this, our team is able to bid on extensive projects in industrial technology, information technology, private, corporate and non-profit sectors. We bring in the heavy hitters when we need to so that you can run with confidence that you have chosen the right team to manage your marketing and social media investment.
We do pre-production, production and post on media projects in live action, digital animation, and audio for television, web and company profiles. We also do media buying, information technology, SEO, social media, research, recruiting, consulting, marketing, proof-of-concept design, business development, event structuring, vision-casting, referrals, traditional, non-traditional and experimental media projects.

ADVERTISING ( GENERAL EFFECTS )
We are a full-service marketing company and we are aware that different media outlets perform better and differently in each industry. We're project-based in our day-to-day operations, and we have 124 designers and 12 project managers that have worked in a wide variety of fileds. We enjoy Internet and television markets because there is a vast approach to how we can help get your message across, allowing us license to be as creative as possible. When it comes to your future customers and/or customers, you can expect to have the best of both the visual and audio elements necessary within these media streams.
FILM AND DIGITAL CINEMA
The life-blood to our production house is making narrative and documentary cinema projects. We've made shorts and features and we're just now in the process of going into our ten-year archive and releasing all our film projects to Netflix. We're very excited about the release of these projects on a large scale.
As we progress into new productions, both internally and externally produced, we're taking the content we make to the next level. We've been writing for film and television for years, and what's on the horizon looks bright.
VIDEO ADVERTISING
We believe television advertising to be a significant way to drive business when directed with care and precision. We have a track record of producing commercials that truly stand out from the competition. While delivering a message to brand your organization or company, we craft video elements that will traffic business to your front door, business line and/or website. Of course there are multiple benefits from producing a television commercial. Now, media has changed, and it has shifted the market to an even faster changing social Internet. We have a dedicated visual effects team that has done effects for web, television and cinema. Our tools are the industry standard, and we push hard to make your special effects shots shine. We've been making animations and modeling elements for fifteen years now, and we pride ourselves in working with a hands-on approach to your direct needs. We'll work with you from storyboards so you know what you can expect from a pre-viz angle, and then, with your approval, we'll go right into production on a shot-by-shot basis. CONTENT DEVELOPMENT
One of our strongest divisions for pre-production is our content development team. We script or write copy for productions in all forms: e-Learning, websites, mobile media, television ads, films, and storyboards. PHOTOGRAPHY
Our photo team is comprised of award winning specialists in event, corporate, commercial and nature photography. Many of our photographers are also videographers who have made projects for PBS affiliates. Our photographers are assigned to several diverse venues -corporate, commercial, weddings and advertising to name a few.
MEDIA AUTHORING
We've created some substantial Blu-Ray and DVD media disks for the industry. As this field changes, we will continue to create traditional works in those formats, while moving into deeper layers of future technologies. With our disk, flash and authoring division, we can get your media out in any format quickly and efficiently for any device. We can even do mass replication of your media quickly and inexpensively.
PRINT
Print isn't dead, but it's changing. Augmented reality, better papers, more efficient materials and distribution, along with the tie-ins to digital media prove that print still has a deep impact. In a world of digital devices, the printed paper is sometimes the most important thing for motivating people to go to your website. With websites being the modern business card, print must adapt. Now, even websites are so common that they don't grab nearly the attention they need to. BEFORE YOU USE PAYPAL, READ THIS DISCLAIMER:
You can immediately pay via paypal for an approved project by clicking on our paypal logo in our "Estimate" matrix. You'll be taken directly to our e-commerce site and your secure payments will be processed by paypal. You must obtain a contract from Silver Screen Arts for approval of your project before it is created. You may not make payments of any kind via paypal in advance of a contract without written prior approval. If you make a payment before a contract has been drafted and approved by the Silver Screen Arts team, your monies will be returned with whatever fee is associated with the paypal return payment merchant fee.
The way paypal should work when working with us is simple. Use our estimate matrix to see what your production may cost. We will then give you a more solid estimate with a contract. If the contract is to your liking, we will agree on the specified terms, approve the actual production, give you a project code, and ask that you make a payment of 50% to start your project. This is when you can use paypal, or, just a check. We will promptly send a receipt of payment for half the project. The other 50% iof the project invoice is due upon completion of the project. No project will be released without full payment of the outstanding balance.
We also take other forms of payment if you would like to keep it simple -checks are encouraged as long as they adhere to the terms of payment listed here:
Silver Screen Arts uses 30 days terms for billing for any invoice under 5K. 30 days are based off of the onset of the production, or beginning day of production. Payment in full needs to arrive in check or money order in total within 30 days of that product start date. These are the terms applied to all services for commercials, television, web, animation etc. with invoice amounts under 5K
( * with the exception of pre-agreed upon terms. )
On larger scale productions, meaning documentaries or features with a 100K budget or more, Silver Screen Arts uses partial payments in thirds -one third for pre-production, one-third for production, one-third for post-production.
Silver Screen Arts reserves the right to bill for any costs that are incurred during production and the invoices for productions are based off of fee for services, not fees for production elements ( which come at a separate cost due to it being element based. ) -Examples are music, stills, and stock video that are not created by Silver Screen Arts. All licenses for stock audio, stills or video must be paid by the client of Silver Screen Arts, as Silver Screen Arts is not liable for any licensing issue that may arise if a client has not sufficiently secured digital media rights for said elements.
Any invoice under 5K will be half to start, and half on delivery.
All monies are non-refundable.
Interest will be applied to unsecured payments that are more than 30 days past due.
*Silver Screen Arts reserves the right to refuse working with certain clients if they are known to not pay invoice, or if Silver Screen Arts believes an association could create confusion, or undue hardship.
