1997 Black Purebred Gelding
"Noah" is my favorite recreational riding partner, we do a lot of trail riding and camping together. We just finished up our last year on a competitive drill team, and are embarking on a new venture: competitive trail! We also hope to add show trail and working cow horse to our list next year. He is an extremely athletic horse, and has a heart of gold--always giving 110%! Noah has 6 crosses to Witez II, which is apparent in his major athleticism and love for work. He also has quite the personality, and can be very playful, yet is a great babysitter and mentor for the weanlings. While I love and appreciate all of my horses individually, the bond Noah and I share is an amazing thing--he is my best friend, and most definitely my once in a lifetime horse, inspiring me to add the Witez blood to our breeding program in the future.

"Rush" was our first stallion, and is the sire of 4 foals, which can be seen on the foals page. He sired some outstanding foals, but with our purchase of Pharao, we decided to geld him due to the poor economy and market, and our desire to focus primarily on purebreds in the future. Rush is being trained for reining, and we hope to have him finished and in the show pen in 2010, along with his son below! He has proven himself to be a stellar ride, with extreme trainability and intelligence, and we eagerly anticipate showing him in reining, trail, and perhaps working cow. He is sired by an AQHA stallion with money earning cutting and reining lines, and out of a purebred, 100% Phara bred mare, the late Rose of Phara. One can surely see the "Phara" look in him, and often we can see a strong resemblence to his grandsire, The Midnight Sun. He also inherited the gentle, loving disposition, and extremely laid-back temperament, and is the horse who sparked my interest in the Phara breeding.

"Squirt" was our first foal, and will be staying put here at Silverdust Ranch! As we had hoped, he inherited the best of dispositions from both sire and dam, and is the sweetest horse you'll ever meet, as well as being very level headed and laid-back--he will be the perfect kid's horse. With beautifully straight, correct legs, nice shoulder and hip, and a substantial build already as a 3 year old, we are very happy with this guy! He shows much promise for western pleasure, with a beautiful natural lope at liberty, though he also shows potential as a sporthorse, so we will be further evaluating him this winter when we start riding him. He has been started ground-driving, and has been ridden a couple times this past year, but nothing serious or hard. He really enjoys being worked with however, and seemed to think it was pretty cool to have "mom" up on his back--one of those "born broke" horses for sure. I am really excited to start working more with my baby boy, and getting him out in the show ring next year! We'll be busy next year with him, Pharao, and Rush, but we're looking forward to it!
