Welcome to our website! Our names are Matt and Karen Sifford. We are a married couple, who share a passion for natural light photography.
Our love of photography began with the birth of our daughter. Karen, an avid scrapbooker, became upset with her digital point-n-shoot camera due to the lag time between pushing the shutter button, and the camera actually taking the photo. Many precious shots were missed during the first few months of their daughter's life. Matt solved her problem by surprising Karen with a Digital SLR camera for Christmas. Karen was delightfully surprised by the thoughtful gift, but even more sursprised at how much Matt was enjoying the camera as well.
Our hobby became a "profession" when friends and family started asking us to take their photos. We upgraded our equipment and now shoot with professional grade cameras and lenses. The rest as they say, is history!
Our photography interests are totally different. Matt's style is to include the "whole picture" so to speak. Whereas Karen enjoys "focusing" on the details - up close and personal! :) On each of our photo shoots we enjoy trying to outdo each other by taking the best shots. Our competitive nature and the playful competition lead to some very interesting and unique photos!

We specialize in photography that captures you in a non-posed, photojounalistic way. We tell the story of your day as it happens and not in the way we want it to look. We give minimal direction and then you take it from there as we snap pictures that capture the moments you create.
