ferns!
You can never have enough chocolate!
never enough time to sit and relax with a hot chocolate mug in our chilly Michigan winters.
Inspired by a little snow and a Snow Green glaze. Inspired by snow mobiling!
My favorite woods are gone. My soul cries in mourning but my spirit creates memories.
I create large shells that remind me of visiting the Florida beaches. The beautiful turquoise water is embedded in my memory.
Plates are my canvas for creating using abstract expressionism. Throwing clay and throwing glaze is great fun!
This series of vessels evolves with my discovery of new glazes. The paper thin walls are dangerously thin.....
My mom and I collected leaves to remember our lifelong summer home. The leaves are fossilized in the clay with a beautiful crystalline glaze embracing it. My favorite museum is the Field Museum in Chicago with fantastic collections.
Playing with fractals is my newest hobby. i have created a crystalline glaze very similar to this. Your never too old to play!
This series of seashells were inspired by the beaches in Georgia. I will never forget the town of Jupiter and the fantastic seafood at Guanabanas.

Teaching Philosophy
I believe in using the art of visual communication to holistically connect the world. I embrace the great thinkers of Plato, Socrates, Sark, and Gardner. Creativity can transform all work environments and innovative thinking is the invention of our society. Teaching students how to create, problem solve, and the fundamentals of art design will allow them the tools they need to be successful artists. Above all, my personal commitment to students guides them to embrace a lifelong passion for art.
My Work
“I believe art
is an essential element
in the development of the whole person;
all ages, have the innate ability
to visually create and express themselves.”
