Avon Yoga in the Community
Avon Yoga is still active in the community. Although I let go of my studio space, I am still teaching in the Farmington Valley and I am sharing the heart of Avon Yoga where I go; to live each day from a place of love, peace, compassion and gratitude.
NEW CLASS!!!
Every third Friday of each month I will be teaching an evening class at InnerSpace (www.theinnerspace.net) in Avon. Each class will be designed specifically for the month we are in, for example, February's class will be Open Your Heart. What is flow (vinyasa) yoga?
Yoga is the union of the mind and body. Through vinyasa, a.k.a. "flow", style classes
you'll connect your movements with your breath. The breath is used as an anchor
through your practice to ground your mind and body into the present moment
accessing a deeper place where peace and ease reside.
What is Power Flow?
Power flow is an empowering class that will increase your inner and outer strength, core stability, flexibility and balance through powerful vinyasa sequences and
longer holds. This class is for students with previous yoga experience.
What is Gentle/Restorative?
Gentle/Restorative yoga is a compassionate practice which allows you a safe space to slow down, quiet the mind, listen to your body, and be present with yourself. Through this calmer practice you will equip yourself with tools to carry away with you into your daily life.

Open Your Heart
Friday, February 18 from 6:00-7:30pm at Innerspace in Avon****
The act of expressing love is something you can embrace everyday! Join me at InnerSpace for an evening class dedicated to opening your heart and becoming more mindful of what you need within your heart each day to be able to express love towards yourself and others on a regular basis. Through your words of truth in love, your listening ear, in your acts of kindness you can become more connected to others by taking time to connect with yourself. Slow down for an evening and begin to let go of the what is covering you from living from your heart center. The physical practice will focus on strengthening the upper back to support the opening of the heart while the mindful practice will be dedicated to practice living with an open heart. What is a YOGA PARTY?
A host invites her/his friends over for a night of yoga.
The class will be an hour long and will be mixed level
so that experienced and novice students feel welcome.
What type of yoga class is it?
I teach anything from a power to a gentle class...whatever your
guests are looking for. You choose and let me know.
What is the cost?
The cost is $15 per person with a minimum of 7 people.
8 or more guests and the host is FREE!*
*If you do not have the space to accommodate the minimum
number of people, contact me to discuss alternative arrangements.
My yoga journey began 9 years ago. I came to yoga after injuring my back and never realized how much I needed yoga in my life. I have mingled with anxiety since an early age and although I came to yoga for its physical benefits, it has helped me far beyond my physical body. Through the breathing practices and meditation to the physical practice, yoga has made me stronger and more at ease in both mind and body. I love sharing my yoga experiences and teachings with others in hopes to be a resource for them on their journey to wellness.
I have always been passionate about health and wellness. I have a BSED in Health and Physical Education and a Masters in School Health Education. I continued my wellness education by becoming a yoga teacher, wellness coach and personal trainer. My 200-hour yoga teacher training is with Barbara Ruzansky at West Hartford Yoga. I currently teach kids yoga and adult yoga classes in the Farmington Valley. I have also taught at West Hartford Yoga, Kula Yoga and at the Yoga Center of Collinsville.
I love where my nine year yogic venture has taken me. I look forward to sharing with you what I have learned so far and will continue to share lessons I learn along the way. A journey is always brighter when shared with others. I invite you to join me at one of my classes or workshops to nurture yourself from the inside out.
