Shane Lamb has been teaching one-on-one piano lessons since 2003. Shane believes that piano students should have a well rounded education that includes music theory, improvisation, and ear training. Students can choose repertoire based on their interests.
Shane currently teaches at his home studio in North Austin and at Velocity Music Academy in Cedar Park.
Shane also has experience teaching group piano classes as well as music theory classes. During the summers of 2008 and 2009, Shane worked for the Scrollworks program, which provides free music lessons for low-income families in Birmingham, Alabama. At the Scrollworks summer camp, he taught students in grades K-8 how to read treble and bass clef, to recognize instruments of various families, and to make different rhythm patterns.
