Shakedown are a Newcastle based function band who perform rock, pop, soul & swing classics with energy and passion.
With a professional attitude and stage prescence we are sure that we can enhance your wedding reception, corporate event or function.
The band were formed in 2010 , having also played as Sweet Avarice since 2003. We are the type of band that could entertain at almost any type of function and venue, including weddings, parties, pub and club gigs, and festivals. Our eclectic repertoire of rock, pop, soul & swing spans a wide variation of cover songs that would be welcome at any event.
We only use high quality equipment and provide all PA and Lighting system so you don't need to worry about hiring any additional equipment. This includes an option to play CDs/MP3s when the band is not playing so we can ensure that music is playing throughout your event.
We will work with you so that we can tailor the sets we play to your needs. You can choose from the repertoire we have played over the years or you can ask us to play some special songs that have that extra meaning for you. Alternatively you can leave the decision to us, so we can come up with the songs to make your function memorable.
For you peace of mind, all our equipment is PAT tested and we have Public Liability Insurance.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to you all for playing at our wedding last Saturday night. We all had an amazing day and the band made it perfect.
