Why process our biomass into liquid fuel? Why take the extra steps and energy to take viable energy content into a different form(liquid) and create a dangerous substance from a benign one? Solid Fuel Heat Engine Technology does not require this transformation, it's saves considerable energy just in the processing of our fuel and uses a safe to use, safe to store product.

SOLID vs. LIQUID - almost every alternative fuel project in development today is based on liquid fuels? why? Processing solid biomass into liquid is Expensive, takes large invesments in Plants, creates dangerous products. And we didn't even mention the 5-6 gallons of water used to process just 1 gallon of fuel(wasteful?)
Solid Biomass Fuel takes less processing into pellets, can be done economically in small local Plants, creates a safe to store, safe to use product!

The nature of biomass solid fuel is a straight forward concept - "THE PLANTS THAT HAVE GROWN TO PRODUCE THESE FUELS HAVE ALREADY REDUCED THE CARBON IN THE ATMOSPHERE, BY THE AMOUNT OF CARBON THEY WILL RELEASE - CARBON NEUTRAL"
Just as simple as picking up water softener salts at the nearby hardware or convenience store - you will pick-up a "Bag of fuel" - or you will safely store a months worth of energy in your backyard

EXTERNAL vs. INTERNAL COMBUSTION - we currently burn fossil and alternative fuels in in-efficient Internal Combustion Engines usually in the 20-25% effiiciency range. External Heat Engines have been created with efficiencies in 35-45% range and with further development should reach 50-55% effiiciency - More thanDouble the Efficiency!
DEPENDENCE vs. INDEPENDENCE - We currently rely on fuel sources that are often imported and transported around the globe and are controlled by a handful of Countries and Mega-Companies with complete control over our energy security. Solid Fuel Biomass solutions would be built locally from local materials by a large number of independant small businesses scattered through-out the world and used locally through-out the world!

In the United States alone there is over 100 million tons of Biomass waste produced annually be storms and natural disasters! What if we could create part of the relief solution from this waste! Imagine the trees lost from one storm powers the relief generators of the next. This new industry could also fund the re-planting of the trees lost as part of it's on-going existance

MORE TO KNOW
Why is it called "CARBON NEUTRAL" ? When we calculate the amount of greenhouse gases emitted by a particular technology, we use the term "Well to Wheel" as a basis.
An all electric car may seem like zero pollution, but when we know that that electricity was produced from coal burning power plant, we need to factor in that pollution in the total calculation.
On the other end of the spectrum, when we burn "Wood Pellets" in a high effiicieny furnace, it would seem that we have added to the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. But when we calculate that the plants and trees that have grown and removed gases from the atmosphere prior to being used to produce electricity , the total calculation shows that we have created a sustainable "Carbon Neutral" energy source. If we go beyond that and we increase the numbers of trees in the world, to produce this new fuel source, we will have actually HELPED CLEAN THE EARTH and REDUCED GREENHOUSE GASES...
