Ron Golden, a 1967 graduate of The Ohio State University has been coaching and instructing baseball at the college and high school levels for over 40 years. Ron received his M.A. degree in 1970 also from Ohio State.
Ron founded Baseball Instructional Service, Inc. in 1978 and has served as President and Executive Director since its inception. The company began as a baseball through education enterprise marketing books and related instructional material to coaches, parents and players. Summer camps were the first actual type of program that evolved (in 1979). The baseball school has grown and expanded into a multifaceted operation. Many quality and select programs like: the annual high school Showcase (and now a PreShowcase to prep for the actual event); a Winter Academy (featuring live pitching to live hitting indoors); an actual Fall Instructional Academy meeting for seven weeks and featuring both solid instruction and weekend competition are examples of existing programs that have been, and currently still being, emulated by other businesses and schools both in the area and outside the central Ohio border.
Ron Golden has assisted many former players and students to reach the collegiate and professional ranks. Golden knows how to spot talent and then assist in the placement process.
Coach Ron golden is the founder and first President of the Continental Amateur Baseball Association (CABA) which has developed into a major summer youth program in the United States and internationally.
Goldens last coaching assignment was from 1992-1996 as the manager of the Central Ohio Collegiate Baseball Club, a member of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League (wood bat). Many players have matriculated to the professional ranks from this team.
Ron Golden has transformed Ron Goldens Baseball School into Central Ohios leader for providing quality training and instruction to players of all ages. The baseball school recently expanded its boundaries into central Florida (the Orlando area).
The primary purpose of Ron Golden's Baseball School is to help players improve their self esteem, confidence and overall baseball ability in a controlled environment under the watchful eye of skilled instructors.
We teach, train, evaluate and develop players. Then we help to place them at the next level; be it summer travel or college ball.
Some baseball business provide their facility for outside use; they have machines to offer and rent space.
We are INSTRUCTIONAL & DEVELOPMENTAL and, we pledge to out work all the others!
We want to make a difference in a players development and help him to take his game to The Next Level!
Our approach is to offer a variety of programs so that each player will have the opportunity to improve his skills and learn the game.
Once a player can make the necessary adjustments in his play, he will better prepare himself to advance and play at the highest level his ability will take him. Our vision, therefore, is to watch each player we come into contact with and help to position him for success. No exceptions.
Many parents are doing a lot of leg work for their son sending all kinds of letters and materials to college coaches. Some is very good. Most, however, based on what we have seen, does not present the best picture or scenario for the prospect. Most could use some professional assistance. Recognizing that everything is relative, we try to help position the prospect and arouse the college coachs curiosity! The first step in the process is for the player to be adequately evaluated. DESCRIPTION
Many parents contact us during the season and want to schedule additional work for their son to sharpen, fine tune and even tweak some aspect(s) of his play Some just want a check up prior to, or around, tournament time. Whatever the reason we invite players to work with our staff in a very supervised and structured way to meet their respective needs. While many of the attendees are doing well, they want our advanced specialized instruction (to supplement their fine play)!

The months of November, December and January are great for working on your personal development in the area of training and conditioning. This is when you can improve:
•Agility
•Foot speed
•Bat speed
•Strength
•Overall conditioning
You are invited to workout with us under the direction of our trained staff (trainer or coach) during this time of the year. The weight room (Huntington Park) is an ideal location for every player to workout and develop the above stated areas. Many players try to mix in their T & C with their skill work (hitting, pitching, etc., lesson) on the same day.
Prior to the Actual Showcase this program helps to prepare the prospect for participation in the Actual event! When players take the field to display their tools to the decisionmakers (college coaches and professional scouts) in attendance, there will not be any surprises. Players will have the chance to workout in the stadium and get familiar with the environment and the actual skill work that they will be showcasing. It is truly a dress rehearsal for the real deal!
SPECIAL REPORT
Choosing the Right Private Instruction for Your Player
The GOLDEN BASEBALL SCHOOL is dedicated to Player Development and Instruction. This is our primary service. We are about results! We are not about leagues, cage rental, uniform sales, tournaments, parties, etc. Our concept is about specialization and improvement in baseball skill.period!
The Academy Program has been designed for the serious player; the one who is truly dedicated to improvement and advancing his game to the highest level his ability will take him.
With our staff of quality instructors (who have been with the program for many years), our approach is to teach the game the way it is meant to be playedthis is a multifaceted approach that incorporates selected drills to improve a players skills along with strategy and competition. Each season of the year we have a specific academy that has been created with its own unique game plan.
We offer 3 types of programs for players ranging in age from 6-13.
They include:
SPRING TRAINING
PLAYER / ADULT
SUMMER
Players are grouped first by age and then by ability level. All programs are geared to both recreational and traveling team players. All skills are covered and practiced.
Each summer we conduct a Showcase event to give high school VARSITY STARTERS an opportunity to perform before a crowd of college coaches (and often some pro scouts) and exhibit their tools in a very structured and formatted workout.
This is a great opportunity to be observed by decisionmakers at the next level. Again we want prospective showcase performers to understand that we need a recommendation from your high school (or summer) coach if you are not a student of our baseball school. This is to protect the integrity of the event and encourage coaches and scouts to continue to return as they have done for one and onehalf decades.
THE WRITING IS ON THE WALL!
WITH ALL THE TURMOIL VOLUNTEER COACHES FACE, A CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
IS THE BEST WAY FOR AN ORGANIZATION TO GO
A certification program is a necessity for all coaches in an organization, NOT just the 1st year coaches! A mandatory clinic approximately 4 to 6 weeks prior to the season will enhance the volunteers coaching experience.
NOTE
WE HAVE CHANGED THE NAME TO BE HIGH SCHOOL ACADEMY
3 full days of instruction and training designed to enhance one's overall development. Players also receive a personal evaluation that underscores strengths and weaknesses. A comprehensive explanation of the recruiting process is also provided to the players so that they have a better understanding of college baseball at all levels.
The camp provides for a small coach-to-player ratio and allows for a ton of reps for each player. Some of the best players in the area participate. Our alumni feature many college players and several who have made it to the professional level.
PITCHING & HITTING
OUR GOAL: To make the player a more proficient pitcher and hitter
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: For the player to become his own coach and learn to make necessary adjustments to allow him to reach his goal
THE TOTAL PROGRAM: Geared to the player who is goaloriented, motivated and a selfstarter. One who is ready to take his game to The Next Level.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Improvement in the skills of pitching and hitting require reps and a progressive series of drills that one can perform daily regardless of the weather, his location, the availability of a facility or any potential negative distraction.
"LEARN TO EFFECTIVELY COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR PLAYERS AND HOW TO INSTRUCT THEM ONTHEFIELD WITH QUALITY DRILLS"
We will work together (our staff and your coaching staff) to gain the necessary confidence and understanding needed to improve your teams practices. Structured practices are the heart of the instructional phases that is often neglected in the development of a team We provide and supply you with drills and a structured practice plan to enhance the teams workouts. This, in turn, makes practices and games FUN for all the players (and coaches).

Ron Golden has the resources and contacts necessary to move any aspiring player to the next level of competition. I am indebted to Ron for the time and effort he spent helping me achieve my dreams of playing both in college and the major leagues. "Ron not only has the ability to teach, but also to spot the intangibles that go into the making of a baseball player. Ron has had a tremendous impact on my career.
