Oldschool New Haven Graffiti
Writing on walls for nearly 30 years, Seme has gained international recognition as an innovative addition to the world-wide graffiti community through various street art publlications, exhibits, conventions & videos throughout the years. Since his early years of writing graffiti, seme has maintained the same name and distinct 3D letter style while still keeping with the original NY letter structure developed in the early 1980's in the Bronx.Starting off in Syracuse, NY in the height of the graff movement, Seme eventually moved to New Haven, CT where he helped establish one of the most viral graffiti crews in the USA, HI Crew with Reo & Rage 3. What started as a local graffiti crew, The HI Crew has now become a leading force of innovation in the graffiti community with over 50 international members & growing. Seme currently resides in Syracuse, NY while working on a new series of limited mixed-media spraypaint gallery art & working on production for various new hip-hop & graffiti documentary films.
