SE District PAHA is dedicated to serving our members, friends and fellow Arabian Horse lovers with information, news, events and gatherings. We want to provide a portal for you to meet other Arabian horse fans to promote and enjoy this wonderful breed. As enthuisiasts of the Arabian Horse, we are members of the Pennsylvania Arabian Horse Association. An Affiliate club of the Arabian Horse Association AHA), the Pennsylvania Arabian Horse Association (PAHA) is divided into 6 Districts: Northeast, Southeast, North Central, South Central, North West and South West.
We are the Southeast District, which technically covers Chester, Delaware, Philadelphia, Berks, Bucks and Montgomery Counties. We also have members who are from surrounding areas including Delaware and Maryland.
2012 Activities
February 25 : Annual Social, 1:00 pm - New Bolton Center:- Guest Speaker: Rose Nolen-Walston, DVM on horse research, interesting, rare unusual cases. Meal PROVIDED by SE District. Our same lovely raffle with fab items from tack shops, trainers, instructors, etc. Come out and socialize with friends and bring a guest.
April 28 : St. Jude Benefit Ride benefits St. Jude;s Children's Hospital... A "give back" ride that is both fun and meaningful. If you are riding the Cheshire or Reg. 15 CTR rides, this will be a good stretch for your horse. If riding pleasure only it's an awesome 6-7 easy ride through beautiful country. A pril 29 : Cheshire Competitive Trail Ride and Region 15 CTR Championship Ride (Concurrently). Check out the web site for these rides at www.cheshirectr.weebly.com
May 12 : Open Dressage Show, Foxcatcher Ring, Fair Hill, Maryland. Open to all breeds, however, if your Arabian is entered in the PAHA Hi Points Awards program, this show will qualifiy for your points at year end, even though it's in Maryland because it's a Pennsylvania Arabian Horse Association sponsored show. A great time to school your horse for the upcoming Recognized shows for 2012. For information, contact us. For entry, see "entries" tab.
October 14th : Annual Judged Pleasure Ride and Wiener Roast. Even if you don't do a whole lot of trail riding, this is the ride for you; fun, relaxing, awesome countryside and beautiful rolling hills. Wiener roast follows the ride and a "surprise' event in store as well. Watch for more news and entry forms.
November 3rd: Election of SE District Officers, Delegates and Resolutions meeting. Place TBA but this will be a fun meeting along with chowing down on pizzas. A little surprise "skie" in store so plan to attend, socialize, vote on rules supporting your views from our district that will be presented at the AHA Convention, vote for your leaders and suppport your club.
