BEHIND THE LENS

Phil, now 50 has had a passion for photography since the days of 35mm film when he shot with a Nikon FE2, in his native New York.The process, back then took longer with the waiting for prints to come back from the lab.Today Phil uses a Canon XSI. The camera, he says is a pleasure to work with since the results are instant. Digital photography is a wonderful new technology that has made shooting images amazingHe finds shooting images creative, relaxing and meditative.He can often be found around his adoptive San Diego shooting anything from his favorite model, his son Jesse to anything or anyone else that captures his attention.While he is always searching for the perfect shot and how to define "art" and therefore photography, he has taken this quote as a tool for advancement."My job as a portrait photographer is to seduce, amuse and entertain.
