Scope Dance Theatre explores the elements of the hip-hop culture, through dance theatre as its main means of expression. NEFELI TSIOUTI - Choreographer
Nefeli was born in Sydney, Australia in 1986. She grew up in Cyprus where she started attending her first dance classes at the age of 9 at Motion Art Studio in Nicosia. She attended ballet, jazz, contemporary dance classes until the age of 18. At the age of 15 she started hip-hop dance at Rebel Dancers school in Nicosia. In 2004 she moved to Greece to study a BA in French language and literature at the University of Athens. Simultaneously she attended ballet, contemporary and jazz dance courses at Quasistellar studio, Chorokinisi, State school of dance and Metsis dance school. She also intensively studied Latin/Ballroom professionally for a year. At the same time, she started teaching hip-hop dance in various dance schools between 2006-2009. She also joined No Second Chance bboying crew in 2006. In September 2009 she moved to London to study an MA in Dance Choreography at Middlesex University. She immediately started performing with March Performance Group in London, Bristol, and in Berlin at Schwelle 7 (Felix Ruckert production). She was Artistic Director for a hip-hop crew in London for 5months, but then in June 2010 she decided to form her own Hip-hop dance theatre company named SCOPE. In January 2011 she joined Element Dance Company, with performance credits at MOVE IT 2011 and UK Brazilian Grammy Awards 2011.Nefeli has succesfully obtained her Masters in Choreography and is now teaching various dance styles in Primary Schools, Youth Centres and she is a Visiting Lecturer of Dance (March-June2011 at West Thames College). She is also choreographing for SCOPE and performing at the above mentioned dance companies. She is also a bgirl in the crew Soul Superior.Bgirl sMash(Nefeli), has qualified in the battles:- Bonnie n Clyde (B.Supreme) Semi-finals (April 2011)- All Styles (UK Hip-hop Championships Midlands) Semi- finals (April 2011)- Top 8 B-girls (Kill the Beat International, Athens) (December 2010)
MONICA NICOLAIDESMonica trained in Cyprus in classical ballet and modern dance. She continued her training in the UK where she specialized in contemporary dance and Cecchetti ballet, graduating with a BA Dance with Fine art: New Media, from the University of Chester and a Diploma in Dance Studies from Laban. This year completed her MA in Dance Performance at the University of Chichester. She has been a dancer in mapdance, Dance Digital and Carpe Diem.
DEANN FROSTDeann was born and raised in Iowa, USA. She has unleashed her passion for dance after a career in Accounting. She has performed with the Laith Sami Performance Company at Scala(London). Deann now works as Programme Assistant at Dance Umbrella, an international festival bringing new dance to London. She has performed at Jonzi D's Surgery and BiG dance 2011.
PATRICE COTTERPatrice studied a BA in Contemporary Release and Physical Theatre at the London Metropolitan University. She has experience in African contemporary and Latin styles. Professional credits include dancing with Intrinsic Dance Company,Homero Gonzalez' Cuban Cabaret Group, Element Dance Company, MOVE IT 2011, Jonzi D's Surgery.

JAHMAI JONES
Bboy Jam Fu is an established Bboy in Birmingham, teaching and performing across the city and UK. In 2010 he performed for BBC proms at the Royal Albert Hall in London. With his crew, Smash Bro’z Hip Hop Collective he qualified in UK HipHop Championships for the World HipHop Championships taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2009. He was also a member of the all round breaking crew MDK (Mad Dope Kru), with which he has battled in many competitions against high level dancers from around the UK. He is now a member of worldwide rockin crew TBB (The Bronx Boys). With his crews he has reached 1st place at Battle of the Shires (Birmingham 2009), Graffiti Breaks (London 2009), Battle of the Shires (Stafford 2010), UK Hip-hop Championships national qualifiers (London 2010) and many more. He has attended masterclasses with world bboys like Ken Swift, Poe One, Mouse, Born, Alien Ness, Crazy Legs, Y Not and others. Jahmai is currently battling, teaching and performing with Scope Dance Theatre. Aswell as being an experienced Bboy, Jahmai is an up and coming hip-hop and breaks DJ. FUMI TOMIOKA
Fumi comes from Tokyo, Japan, where she first started her ballet training. She finished her MA in History (1997) in Tokyo and studied dance at Laban Centre inLondon (2001-2002). She was also trained as a Pilates teacher at Alan Herdman Studio in London. Fumi has just finished studying at the MA Choreography course at Middlesex University in London and she works as a PIlates instructor.
