The Area
Llithefaen, a picturesque village with its own shop/post office and pub, is situated on the Lleyn peninsula, 3½ miles from the delightful seaside town of Nefyn and 8 miles from the market time of Pwllheli, with its many shops and modern marina.
The stunning scenery of Snowdonia, spectacular Llanberis Pass, honeypot villages of Beddgelert and Cricceith, the bustling town of Porthmadog and the historic Caernarfon are all just a short drive away.
On Llithfaen’s own doorstep, within walking distance of the cottage, are the abandoned slate village of Nant Gwrtheyrn, (now a popular Welsh Language Centre), miles of relaxing countryside, with spectacular views over the whole of Tremadog and Caernarfon Bays and the incredible prehistorical remains of Tre’r Ceiri, a hill fort, with stunning views, made of 150 dry stone hut circles.
The area is an ideal base for either an active walking holiday or a relaxing sightseeing tour, full of history, spectacular scenery and award winning beaches.
