THE AUTHOR

Sasia Gregory, currently residing in Myrtle Beach, SC, is originally from California with her own roots originating back to the Native American tribes of Oklahoma. After leaving California she spent almost 20 years in New Jersey where she became a writer and picked up the acting bug. She signed on to do commercials but since has worked in numerous movie roles with such actors as Jim Carrey, Danny Devito, Lee Meriwether, Billy Cobb, Abigail Breslin, Drew Fuller, Corbin Bernstin, Lake Bell, Jay Fergenson, just to name a few. Sasia started her career as a fashion and print model and landed a spread in a NY Magazine called ESM. In the early 1990's Sasia wrote her first book in two weeks time. Then she put it on the shelf where it sat for a few years, until a friend read it and encouraged her to get it published. After months of rewriting and editing she did just that. After the release of her first novel, to her surprise, the reception was better than she had anticipated and her audience urged her to hurry with the spin-off, which she did. Book two was released soon thereafter. In early 2001, Sasia was contacted about writing a movie script. Never having written a script before, she was willing to take on the task. To her surprise, the summary of the script caught the attention of film producer, actor and award winning director Kevin Hooks. Written with Denzel Washington in mind for the lead, Kevin Hooks expressed interest and asked for the complete manuscript.This of course was a boost of confidence for Sasia and while waiting for feedback from Mr. Hooks, she has since started on her next book and has plans to write a children's book and the movie scripts for her first two novels.Sasia has enjoyed writing stories since she was a child, her first being written in first grade as a class assignment. She has always enjoyed writing Science Fiction stories, although her later years have taken her down a different path. A path of Intrigue, Romance and Suspense. Sasia Gregory has also received an Outstanding Literary Accomplishment of Merit Award from Creative Arts & Science Enterprises for a poetry piece she wrote entitled "My Friend" which has since then been published in "The Book of Poetry." Sasia has done much more than she had ever expected since leaving the small town in California. She has worked with many Radio personalities and film Directors including Stephen Hays whom she has formed a lasting friendship. (Stephen Hays is an Executive Producer and Managing Member of 120dB Films, a finance hedge fund company specializing in gap, tax credit and related loans to the independent film industry). Since entering the entertainment industry Sasia has received many private invitations to celebrity and Oscar parties given by such celebrities as Yanni, Ashford and Simpson, Jay Thomas and good friend - the late Isaac Hayes - just to name a few and she continues to enjoy her work in film when she has the time between her work in Computer Database Management & Administration, Website building & management, as well as school course work (she is currently pursuing an Associates in Computer Information Systems) and her writing. Sasia also enjoys working in Desktop Publishing & Design (she designed her own book covers and website).
