ABOUT MY WORK
Who really knows? Honestly, I believe if you cling to much to what you think is your thing than you are missing all the rest.
However, for the sake of attempting to describe my style;
I want people to think and to feel. A teacher once told me to walk through the world "with your eyes wide open" and that is what I want my paintings to do as well. Whether it is an unveiling of a natural landscape and pausing to capture the beauty that already exists or unveiling the unseen emotions, even if they are unpleasant or sad, I want my art to speak to you the viewer, beyond pure visual aesthetics. I allow my eyes and hand to interpret what is the world around me as well as our internal world of pleasure, pain, guilt, etc...
My goal in any print or painting is to convery some sort of emotion - even apathy- to stimulate the viewer to look a little longer and to question what is being represented in order to stimulate the mind.
