Sankalp Srivastava hails from a musically affluent family. Born in a distinguished family with a rich cultural heritage in Lucknow, Sankalp was initiated into the world of Sur, Laya and Taal at a tender age of three. Sankalp has been trained in both Indian and Western classical music. At 17 he made his foray into the music industry formally as a musician. He has done immense body of work for acclaimed music directors.Sankalp carved a niche for himself as a singer-musician and easily transitioned into a composer. He has brought a refreshing new edge to film scores through his soulful work. Working with several acclaimed music directors, he has been hailed for his work in various films and albums. His compositions are a rich blend of world, classic and contemporary music.Sankalp’s passion for emerging trends in music and technology is apparent through his place of the art music India. He is an avid enthusiast of music and completely immerses himself in technical as well as creative aspects of music production. Absorbing the best of these two streams of music, Sankalp today is a successful music director in India and U.K.For Sankalp, creating music is sheer joy, a deeply felt commitment, and the very essence of his creative existence.

Sankalp, born in a traditional family of music lovers, he had an aptitude for the music right from his childhood. During the last decade many youngsters have taken music as a serious life occupation and their individual abilities have brought them enviable success. Sankalp Srivastava is a promising Music Director & Singer of new generation. He received his guidance of classical music under guru shishya parampara from Pt. Haridutt Sharma ji, Pt. Ram Pratap-Pt. Satya Prakash Mishra ji. In Tabla Sankalp trained under Shri Devashish Dey ji who happens to be disciple of Ustad Faiyaz Khan.Sankalp is not only refined the existing regiments of music composing but also create lyrics of its own.As Sankalp says – The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul. Having spent a lifetime despising all form of formal or academics education music seemed like a perfect escape route. Yet, once I started working as a composer at a ripe age of 19, it seemed like the most natural thing to do. I’d been writing songs and composing melodies for as long as I could remember, it was no big deal all because of my parent’s love, support & blessings, my guru’s training & friend’s n family’s good wishes.
