Heavenly Arts
We believe that all of art, and indeed of our very life itself, is divine worship. The joy of God's presence and the love of His glory is the essence of that for which we were made.
Music is especially hallowed, mystically able to convert physical space into the spiritual vaults of heaven. The celestial abode of God is directly touched within us, to be savored in our spirit and with all of our senses. This unity of spirit and art enfold the soul within God.
our heritage of christian art
The music, language and art of the Christian church is a gift; we want all people, especially our children, to experience and love the rich texture of Christian culture and art, and to place the cetnral focus of study within the parish itself.
Our joy is to make music and art for the praises of God, to touch the glories of heaven, and to foster the love of worship.

Sandy Fryling, DMA has spent her musical life reviving the acapella choral tradition of the Anglican cathedral and performing music of the Renaissance and Baroque. After earning a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from SAU, she pursued two Master's Degrees, in Early Music Performance, and Organ Performance from New England Conservatory in 1987.
After teaching 5 years at her alma mater, Dr. Fryling moved to Southern California where, since 1995, she has been Director of Music for Blessed Sacrament Episopal Church (now a united congregation partnered with the ACNA Anglican Church of the Resurrection). Nashotah House Seminary granted her an honorary doctorate in 2008 for her work in the field of Anglican Church Music.
In addition to teaching at the Cathedral Arts Academy,
Dr. Fryling is founder and director of AVIARIUM, a 12 voice acapella ensemble devoted to the music of William Byrd. She enjoys performing with Southern California early music ensembles as singer and harpsichord continuo specialist.
Devin Fryling, MA is an accomplished cellist and specialist in baroque string instruments, including the viol da gamba. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Music Education, followed by a Master of Arts in Baroque Cello Performance. A long-time member of the Orange County early mjusic ensemble "Harmonia Baroque," Devin has performed throughout Southern California. A gifted teacher of string instruments, Devin combines elements of Suzuki style teaching with traditional methods to easily accomodate all learning styles, abilities and ages.
Prior to moving to Southern California, Devin trained as a journeyman organbuilder of tracker instruments, at the organ shop of Richards & Fowkes in Ooltewah, Tenessee.
