Affordable Photography by Samuel J. Guss is owned and operated by Sam and Chauma Guss of Birmingham, AL. Bringing together high quality, experience and value, it offers high-end options in wedding, portrait and event photography. Started in February 2008, the company has steadily progressed to where it is today – providing the best service, highest quality and best value in the greater Birmingham area.
About Sam and Chauma Guss
Married on October 10, 2009 Sam handles most of the day-to-day activities of the business including photography, while Chauma is often on-hand as photography assistant, client liason and cheer leader. When Sam was young, his mother entertained him on long car trips by handing him a cheap 35mm point-and-click camera, which would keep him occupied for hours. During his military service he explored SLR camera technology and techniques, finding a love and passion for capturing unique individual moments.
Sam truly appreciates the beauty and grace offered in wedding and portrait photography. When not shooting these things or special events, he likes to experiment with fine art photography and take nature/outdoor photos. In his spare time, he is a writer, with hundreds of published articles to his credit and one short story fiction credit in an anthology.
