Hello and welcome to the Valley View Secondary School Concept to Creation page for Miss Davenport's class in semester two, 2011.
This website will continue to be a place where our class can share their progress and their successes over the course of the semester.
This page will be regularly updated with pictures and information about the progress of student projects.
Most of the projects in our group revolve around creating items that will be of use to Monarto Zoo who we as a school are trying to forge a working relationship with. Our aim is to create innovative goods that can be donated to the zoo to help with the sustainability and conservation of the park.
Under each of the tabs on the left you will find information about each of our groups, their projects and the progress that they make during the semester.

Excursion to Monarto
The 14th of September 2011 saw a select group from Valley View Secondary School visit Monarto Zoo. The aim of the excursion was to allow the students to become immersed in the environment they are creating projects for and get a real feel for the type of projects they will need to create. The students were lucky enough to have to the oppotunity to see a Rhino up close, go behind the scenes and meet the Tasmanian Devils and also got the chance to pick up some materials to use for their projects. The day was a huge success with students clearly very motivated about their projects and coming up with fantastic ideas and innovative ways to solve the issues they have been presented with. Well done to all!
