Biography BIOGRAPHY:The man behind Latino music in Australia:He is Australia's leading Cabaret Latino Entertainer, an accomplished singer, a Master of Ceremonies and a true showman in his field. Throughout his career, he has performed regularly to small and intimate audiences as well as full house venues such as the Darling Harbour Bacardi Latino Festivals, The Sydney Domain, and the Sydney Opera House to name a few.Born and raised in Sydney, Christian's passion for show business started at a young age. His first experience in showbiz was at the age of 10 where he began his connection with the stage as a dancer. He developed his passion for live music when he joined the school brass band in 1986. He later went on to join his first Rock band as guitarist in 1987. It was whilst at school that he started develop a passion for Latin Music and wasn't long before he joined his first working Latin band "Pina Colada" at the age of 16. He later joined his first professional band "Sonora Galaxia" in 1991 taking him to stages all over Australia and around the world.Christian's passion for Latin music drives him to work hard with the aim of bringing Latin music to Australia and its surrounding Asian countries. "Our aim is to reawaken peoples passion for LIVE Latin music & to continue the legacy of the Latin culture" After many years of working with Sonora Galaxia, Christian started his own big band the 'Salsa Kingz" who have been recently nominated for best showband in 2008, 2009 & 2010 by the Australian Club Entertainment Awards.Although Christian's performance style ranges from Jazz Standards to the popular party tunes, and from Rock 'n Roll to Latin Pop Tunes, his true passion still lies with the traditional Latin rhythms in the style of Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Cha Cha and Boleros. Whether it is with a small band or his BIG band ensemble, Christian and his band deliver a dynamic and energetic performance time after time.
