About Honor and Mercy

Who we are. Where we are going. How do we get there.

WHO WE AREHonor and Mercy has been together for almost 10 years as of this post. We originally started with Counterstrike as our game of choice. As the game became more and more overrun with cheating, offensive behavior and lack of team play, we looked into a game called World of Warcraft.The WOW guild Honor and Mercy was formed over 5 years ago. It was built on the belief that there are enough like minded people in the gaming world that a sanctuary from the cheating, offensive behavior and rudeness would be an ideal place to spend our leisure time. We take very seriously the words 'Honor' and 'Mercy'.Honor and Mercy currently is the largest and most active guild on the realm Azjol-Nerub. As of this post we have well over 700 characters and growing on a steady pace. We are considered mainly a raiding guild but do have a strong social and PvP aspect that appeals to the players who do not feel raiding is for them.WHERE WE ARE GOINGAs Cataclysm was released, Honor and Mercy was sporting over 140 King Slayers. That is 300% more then any other guild on the server. In fact, no 2 guilds combined could reach that number at the time of the Cataclysm release. This tremendous accomplishment was really brought about by the forming of specific raid groups based on player abilities and raid leaders that understood how to motivate the specific players to be the best that they could be. Going above and beyond to educate fellow guild members has proven to be our biggest asset. The only players that will not benefit from being in this guild are the ones who are afraid to ask for help or not be able to take constructive critiques.My goal is to grow Honor and Mercy into the undisputed leader in World of Warcraft raiding progression. When anyone on Azjol-Nerub (or on any server for that matter) asks who is the top guild for Horde, the immediate answer will always be Honor and Mercy. The majority of our raid leaders are considered to be the 'best of the best' in this game. They not only understand their own characters, they can at any minute tell you the exact hit cap, crit %, parry, dodge, mastery ratios and agility specs for just about any and all class's. They spend countless hours studying all strategies surrounding the encounters they are going to bring their raid groups into. This wealth of knowledge makes our raiding experiences far greater then any others you will find.In addition to our in game activities, it is my goal to have the Honor and Mercy (http://www.4hm.net) website be the one stop information warehouse for the World of Warcraft. From specific class information, helpful guides and tips to an entire section of Honor and Mercy strategy videos of heroic boss and raid boss kills. Soon we will have a live two way feed into the wow armory as well as an XML link partnership with some of the largest quest and item repositories on the planet. Bringing everything wow to a single interface.There is not a limit to what I think we can have on our website. With the proper people behind the scenes, you will see this website grow beyond anything you can imagine.
HOW WILL WE GET THERE We will continue to recruit the best players on the server as well as continue to absorb smaller guilds who understand that progression is ultimately what this game is about. The power hungry guild master is archaic and he will soon be by himself in the Barrens naked.Another important aspect of how we get to where we are is removing members who's general presence in the guild is not complimentary to what we are trying to accomplish. This 'cleaning house' must be a regular part of our activities in order to preserve the guilds internal integrity. The players who have the desire to be carried, handed everything without working for it or just take everything for granted are removed and never invited back. There is a place for these players, but not in this guild.CLOSING THOUGHTS I am so very proud of the members, Officers and raid leaders who make up Honor and Mercy. Without them none of this would be possible.I could write for hours on the things we are working on, the things that we are about to work on or the things we NEED to work on lol, but I will not bore you!
