Favorite Toy Base: Mighty Muggs
I started painting in May of 2009. After being inspired by toy artists work that I viewed online (which includes all 3 of the artists also featured in Land of Misfit Toys) I grabbed a paintbrush and a toy and just went at it. A year and a half later and I am just scratching the surface of the custom toy world and I am having a blast doing it. Most of my creations are influenced by comic books, taking a superhero or villain and designing him or her onto one of these toy bases.
When I am not playing with toys I am reading comic books, watching zombies and trying to help my lovely wife understand why I am having such a hard time growing up.

As a graphic designer, I've always had a strong appreciation for art. I enjoyed painting in college, but never pursued it after I graduated. Hasbro's Mighty Muggs caught my eye one day at the store, and once I found out that people customized them, I was hooked. I discovered the awesome world of designer vinyl toys and have enjoyed both collecting and customizing multiple platforms. My dream is to actually have one of my designs make it into a production series. Until then, I make a living as a graphic and web designer by day, customizer by night.

I began painting toys a couple years back and found a whole online world of others who did the same, as my painting got a little better I started to get in to more of the art toys and less action figure stuff and after having some success at it doing superheros and celebrities I'm now trying my hand at my own artistic ideas and and learning to sculpt. I also co-own a custom toy forum called Custom Toy Union (www.customtoyunion.com) w/ my friend Fuller Designs. When I'm not destroying toys I'm spend time w/ my Wife and Son and trying to stay outta dark alleys.

Favorite Toy Base: I like them all.
I 've been painting custom vinyl for several years now. I've always been into art in one form or another, being a graphic designer by trade. I stumbled upon the viynl scene by accident one day, just browsing for a toy on the internet. I never really knew there was this whole other world of customizing toys out there, and how big it actually is. Needless to say, I had to try it. Once I started, I couldn't stop. The people and customizers in general were very supportive and just fun to be around. Since I first picked up a brush, I think I've grown quite a bit. Going from just customizing to being Co-Owner of a new site for customizers called the Custom Toy Union (www.customtoyunion.com). This whole ride has been a blast and such a new and exciting venture. I hope to be doing this for a long time.
