RUMS Womens football girls are without a doubt the most fun, friendly and generally lovely group of girls in the whole of RUMS!
We have two teams of varying abilities, so whether you've been playing football for years or have never kicked a ball before, there'll definitely be a place for you in one of our teams.
Our football season runs from October to March, and is filled with friendly and competitive matches usually once every week, with training on Monday nights, which sometimes turns into an aerobics workout (you can attend as many or as few as you like, theyre a fun way to keep fit and a great way to get to know all the girls)!
Just as importantly, we've got a sports night every Wednesday at the Huntley Street, and with two newly appointed social secretaries, (our social sex) it will be by far the best night out in the week!
We venture out on two tours a year with the football boys, with different fancy dress themes for each tour. So if you're interested in keeping fit, playing some great football and having an excellent social life, whilst making some brilliant friends and meeting medics from other years, then RUMS womens footie is the team for you!
Exciting news: our fresher Jenny Wallace won
'Fresher of the Year' at the RUMS sports ball.
RUMS WFC has just finished another excellent season, the first team staying up in the women's premier league after being promoted last season and the second team beating their record for the most goals scored in a season!
The hybrid BUCS team finished a respectable second in the league and games thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
The club competed at the NAMS tournament in Leeds this year and made it through to the quarter finals, our best result yet!
Tours this year were rumoured to be the 'best ever'; we travelled to Bristol as Bananas in Pyjamas and then at Easter ventured to Leeds as flamingos!
Our new committee is ready and very excited for another excellent year!

A massive part of being in the club is the social life. Every Wednesday we head off to the Huntley street bar to celebrate our matches (or just for fun) at Sports night.
We go away on two weekend tours a year with the boys, a social one at the start of the year and a national tournament (NAMS) in the spring.
These are the best weekends of the year, and a brilliant opportunity to get to know the girls and get dressed up in fancy dress.
We also go on two annual meals together.

Training is always lots of fun and a great way to improve skill and fitness.
We train every Monday night at the Royal Free Recreation centre at 7pm-8pm. We normally do 30 minutes of aerobics and then a fun 5-a-side match.
We train every Wednesday at Regents Park at 2pm-4pm, and every Sunday from 12pm-2pm.We meet outside the Honest Sausage coffee shop.
The first training session of next season will be on the first Wednesday of term (30th Sept), meeting outside the Bloomsbury theatre, look for us at RUMS freshers fayre for more informtation.
