ROSS TURNER : BIOGRAPHY
Who is ROSS TURNER?
Ross Turner was born in Alexandria MN on January 16th, 1987. He grew up in the church his whole life, playing in the worship team on the drums and guitar since he was 13 years old. Both his father and his mother were music teachers, and his father was also a worship pastor at a local church.
Ross is the oldest child of 8 brothers and sisters, and when he was just 15 years old his father Scott Turner was diagnosed with colon cancer, and passed away on the day after Christmas, just a few months later. Since Ross youngest sister was not even 1 year old when their father passed away, Ross took on the task of helping raise his 7 other siblings as he attended the local University of Minnesota. Although this was an extremely difficult time in his life, Ross began to find a new passion in writing worship songs for his local church, and it became evident that God had a big plan for his life. In 2001 Ross was awarded the National Worship Song Writer of the Year, and began to develop strong relationships with people in the music industry. God began to put His favor on Ross music and life while opening doors for his music to reach people of the church on a larger scale. In 2005 Ross moved to Colorado Springs, CO to train as a songwriter and a worship pastor at New Life Church under the leadership of Pastor ROSS PARSLEY and members of the DESPERATION BAND.
Ross and his team released their first worship album Made Royalty in the summer of 2007, a worship album composed of original worship songs and one song by a writer named Darrel Evans. Now living in Colorado, Ross is the Worship Pastor at Stapleton Fellowship Church. Ross and his band currently travel around the U.S. bringing their songs and worship to conferences and churches. My goal in life is to bring as many people into the life changing presence of God as possible.
