Hi welcome to my website. My name is Richard and I am a drum tutor living in South London. I teach privately at studios in Carshalton and also at Glenthorne High School, Specialist Arts College. I ABOUT MEI started learning drums at the age of 7 with the Merton Music Foundation taking graded exams with Trinity Guildhall at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama at the Barbican, London, passing my grade 8 in 2009. I played jazz drums for a 40 piece Jazz Band, from 2003-2009. The band have toured in Germany and Italy and played at many of londons top venues including, The Barbican Theatre, Saddlers Wells Theatre, The Fairfeild Halls (Croydon) and the Rose Theatre (Kingston). I have extensive Musical Theatre experience with a recent show 'Rent' touring at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2010. Other theatre production credits include: Little Shop of Horrors, FAME, High School Musical, We Will Rock You, Wizzard of Oz, Bugsy Malone and Half a Sixpence.I have studied popular music performance at Drumtech, West London. And am currently studying at the Drum Institute (ICMP), London.
Classes
I TEACHINGI offer friendly, one to one private drum tuition to students in the local area of Merton & Sutton. I teach all ages and abilities from professional studios, in Carshalton. Please for a mapI teach lessons in half hour / hour sessions. I also teach drums at Glenthorne High School, Specialist Arts College in Sutton. As well as working at Arts One Rocks, which is a band performance workshop course, run on Saturday's for 11-18 year olds.Whether you are looking to work towards graded exams, just want to start learning drums or wish to improve your ability - please feel free to get in touch and we can work out what is best for you...
