I was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. My earliest art studies were life drawing classes at the Des Moines Art Center. More recently, I have studied oil technique with Tayor Montgue at The Los Angeles Academy of Figurtive Art.
I work primarily in oil but also work in pastel and ink block printing. Color is my first consideration when planning a painting and have found inspiration in fin de siecle European art, especially that of 1900 Vienna.
My work hangs in numerous private homes from San Francisco to New York.
