Design
It all started with our first born son Reuven. Being new parents was very challenging, even more so than we expected. He had colic quite often and reflux and vomiting were somewhat of a routine. Having him sleep for more than two hours felt quite luxurious. Even after realizing he was lactose intolerant and making the right dietary adjustments he still had sleeping and digestion problems (gas etc.)
We received the Hammock as a present when he was about four months old and since then his digestion problems improved considerably and he literally sleeps through the night (approximately 7pm-6:30am). We wish we had it from day one.
Reuven is a very big boy, our baby giraffe… At about 13.5kg and 85cm long at 8 months he fits in it comfortably with room to spare. He enjoys sleeping in it at night and napping or just enjoying some quite play time during the day and even “asks” to be put in it. We love how lightweight and portable it is and even took it on a recent holiday.
We looked for comparable items and couldn’t find a product that was of the same quality and benefits whilst maintaining affordability.
After much encouragement from other mums and their desire to have one in their home, we took a leap of faith and so began Baby Giraffe Hammocks.
Our dream is to bring the peace, comfort and joy that we experience on a daily basis to your family.
