The furniture and decorations are comfortable and tasteful and in the traditional "Maine cottage" style. There is a small covered back porch with lattice walls and bench seating that looks out onto the backyard. The house sits on 2 acres of lovely grounds with large grass lawn areas and beautiful perennial gardens.

There is nearby access to the shore with a stone beach and Salisbury Cove is within walking distance. The entrance to Acadia National Park is only 2 miles away, while downtown Bar Harbor is only 4 miles.

4 miles from downtown Bar Harbor, 2 miles from Acadia National Park entrance. The property is in a very desirable, rural/wooded neighborhood on quiet Sand Point Road, across street from Frenchman Bay with peek ocean views.
Walk to Salisbury Cove, mini-golf, restaurants, convenience store and ice cream shop. Near hiking, biking, shopping, fishing and swimming.
The house is available year-round for occupancy on a weekly basis - insulated with forced hot air central heating and storm windows.

The property is situated in a very desirable, semi-rural/wooded neighborhood on quiet Sand Point Road, and is across the street from Frenchman bay (approximately 100 yards) with peak views of the ocean from both the grounds and the interior (both floors).
The property is on 2 acres of lovely grounds with lawn, rosa rugosa bushes, mature apple, spruce, pine trees and gardens surrounding the building and in stone wall beds; and a covered stone well. The back three-quarter acre is a woodlot of tall, spaced pine and spruce clear at ground level for easy walking on covering bed of pine needles. Seasonal stream bordering the property that for almost all of the year runs in cascades over miniature stone falls and pools as it flows to the ocean close by.
There is nearby access to the shore stone beach and Salisbury Cove within walking distance.
Interior Information
The building is an authentic traditional New England structure that is well-maintained, but unaltered from original materials and details. There is a small covered back porch with lattice walls and bench seating.
The interior is cozy, clean and comfortable featuring original horsehair plaster walls in excellent condition, original wide plank spruce and fir floors, exposed hand-hewn beams (from trees cut on the property during the original construction) in the living room, large double-hung, casement and picture windows, glassed-in sun porch and modern kitchen and bath in traditional styling.
The furniture and decorations are comfortable and tasteful and in the traditional “Maine cottage”style. The seating furniture and beds are new or very recent. Some other articles are antiques.

Our Sand Point Home is rented on a weekly basis, available year round. A 50% deposit is required to make reservations, refundable until one month before arrival date. A $ 500.00 damage deposit shall be held on credit card. Arrive after 4 pm Saturday, depart by 11 am folowing Saturday.

November through April $ 900 / week $ 450
May $ 1,500 / week $ 750
June $ 1,700 / week $ 850
July & August $ 1,900 / week $ 950
September $ 1,600 / week $ 800
October $ 1,300 / week $ 650
Above rates are for early advance bookings. Additional 10% discount for reservations confirmed by April 15 with total sent as deposit. Listed rates will increase after April 15. Tax Rate is 7%.

and mail it to us with your deposit check, or email it back and we can take your deposit by credit or debit card over the phone. We will send you a copy of the renter info packet on receipt of deposit.
Check-In / Check-Out
Check - In is anytime after 4 pm on Saturdays. Arrive at the house per directions given above and unload and make yourselves comfortable. The house will be unlocked. Call 266 - 4565 upon arriving and a rental representative will come by shortly to give you the keys, collect the rental balance due, and answer any questions you may have.

Any instructions necessary for Internet, WIFI, cable TV, DVD player, phone, appliances, heat, etc. will be on sheets in the house and in the info packet you received. However, don't hesitate to call 266 - 4565 if you have a problem or can't figure out something.
Check - Out is by 11 am the following Saturday. PLEASE LEAVE THE KEY INSIDE AND THE HOUSE UNLOCKED UPON DEPARTURE. Please notify us if you feel you have damaged anything. (No worries about a broken glass or plate or two.) After we visit the house to clean, damage deposit will no longer be held, unless, of course, there is any real damage.
