You don't have to have any experience to take part inRocksCool Academy, it is about having fun and enjoying yourself,making friends and learning to play an instrument whilst developing as an individual.The DCSF(Department for Children,Schools & Families) has found that those youngsters who participated in regular Study Support sessions (RocksCool) achieved one more A*-C GCSE grade than students of equal ability who did not participate in any sessions.
RocksCool Academy work in partnership with schools and other agencies to raise attainment and achievement, contributing to the smooth transition from Middle to High School whilst developing an enhanced sense of self worth, raising self-esteem and confidence of all involved in RocksCool. Developing life long skills and encourage engagement in new learning,provide an enriching, creative and personalised learning programme,improve attendance, attitudes and behaviour,
promote emotional and mental well being and encourage young people to develop leadership and enterprising qualities and attributes.*(Extended Services Team, Learning and Development 0-19 Service, Learning, Skills and Family Support)
Making music can help businesses thrive, according to recent studies conducted by NAMM. Research shows music making has a number of key benefits that can boost performance at work. Recreational music making has been scientifically proven to reduce employee stress and depression and improve employee retention, saving companies significant money. Recent research conducted with long-term care workers also showed reduced employee turnover (18.3 percent decrease) due to the implementation of a recreational music-making program. (NAMM)

RocksCool Music Academy offer training & development to both students and tutors on an ongoing basis.Students have the opportunity to take part in the Arts Award qualifications ,London College of Music and RGT(Registry of Guitar Tutors) examinations during their time with RocksCool Academy,including the option to take nationally recognised graded eaxminations in the following: Guitar, Vocals, Bass & Drums upto and including Grade 8..These qualifications are available from our RocksCool Academy training centres throughout the UK.
It's not only our students who take part in training and development,all of our staff and tutors have Enhanced CRB checks and take part in Health & Saftey,Risk Assement,Child Protection,Sexual Health & Drugs Awareness Training along with First Aid qualifications.
Our RocksCool Tutors come from a varied background including Music Industry specialists,World Famous Musicians and Recording Artists who have toured the world,playing in front of crowds of over 100,000,however they all take part in the nationally acreditted RocksCool Tutor training programme regulated via OCN.
We are delighted to announce our newest training centre and head office has now officially opened.Situated in Blyth,Northumberland . RocksCool Academy now occupy the 2000sq ft building offering our famous RocksCool programme as well as a range of music lessons including:Electric Guitar,Bass Guitar,Drums,Keyboards & Vocals.We have a 100sq m performace studio as well as one to one and group training rooms.Our recording studio will open later this year.
We currently have 10 satellite centres open.

We are delighted to announce that RocksCool Academy will be launching the RocksCool Academy License ifrom October 2011.A national advertising campaign willrun over the next 12 months in the Trade magazine M.I.Pro which is specifically aimed at musicians,retail outlets and other music industry trades.
The number of licenses available will be limited ,howeverthere will be some fantastic opening offers,with the package made available on a exclusive promotional deal between October 14th and December 31st 2011.We will be on hand to answer any questions about the availability of current RocksCool Academy Licenses. during that period .This is a strictly trade only opportunity and RocksCool Academy have a limited number of appointments available to discuss the options in more detail.

Paul Atkinson brings with him a wealth of experience in training and development including NUFC,Sunderland University and NE Music Factory as well as recording,producing & touring with NWOBHM Legends Battleaxe
Jeff Dunn will take over as Account Manager with immediate effect.Jeff has years of experience in the music industry and will bring invaluable experience to the team as well as being a founder member of Venom,touring guitarist with Scooter and also member of new metal legends Primevil.
Michael Muir & Karl Wilson are our newest Tutors and will be working closely with myself & Jeff on a number of new projects.Amy Stonestreet & Luke Warwick -Soden will take a more active role in RocksCool Academy delivery.

RocksCool Academy is delighted to announce we will be performing at the O2 Academy in Newcastle June & July 2011
On the 27th & 28th of April 2010 ,RocksCool performed at the O2 Academy in Newcastle to a SOLD OUT crowd.All projects played an amazing set of covers and original songs which had been written on the last course.
It was a couple of amazing nights where over 100 young people from all different walks of life came together for one reason and one reason alone....to ROCK!
