On April 20, 2010, The Deepwater Horizon, owned and operated by Transocean, Ltd., and leased to British Petroleum, exploded and sunk in the Gulf of Mexico, killing eleven employees and injuring seventeen others, causing an ensuing oil discharge which has been estimated to be as much as 100,000 barrels of crude oil per day into the Gulf's waters, and instigating an ongoing catastrophe which endangers the coast's fishing culture, threatens its tourism industry, and jeopardizes the entire Gulf coast ecosystem...

On Monday, July 19th, 10:00 AM, the Rockford Coffee Party of Rockford, Illinois, will be rallying in Cerny Park, located in beautiful suburban Warrenville, Illinois, home of BP America's North American corporate headquarters, and Warrenville's largest single employer.
Following our rally in the park, we will then march to the corporate offices of BP America, and let them know just what we think of their corporate business model.

Please stand with the families of Texas City where just over three months ago, thousands of pounds of toxic chemicals spewed into the skies from BPs massive oil refinery. Please stand with the families of the 2005 BP Texas City explosion in which 15 people lost their lives and over 170 were injured. British Petroleum has brought death, injury, suffering and destruction to the homes of American families!
