Hi, I'm Heather Robertson; senior interior design student at East Carolina University. Interior design has been a passion of mine since I was a little girl when I rearranged my room on a weekly basis. I am eager to soon enter the design world full time and add to my experience that I have already been able to receive. This website is here to display the work I have completed at school. Day Spa

This day spa is located on Tobacco Row in Richmond, VA. It was an old tobacco warehouse and we were assigned to renovate it into a day spa. The variation of colors seen in a lavendar plant were the inspiration for the color pallete in my design while the structural elements in the design were driven from the geometric shapes a lavendar plant portrays.

Residential Loft

A residential loft, located in Santorini, Greece was designed using the dimensions of our interior design studio. The project was based around the idea of using nature to drive our concept. Volcanoes were the inspiration for my design in the choices of color and the curved walls were based on the geometry of a fruit and vegetable.

Commercial Showroom

A commercial showroom was to be designed to display the newest sustainable products for design. To keep with the sustainable theme, our concept was to come from researching biomimicry. Bull kelp became my concept and is carried throughout the design in ways that portray its movement through water with its graceful curves.

Toy Story Entrance

We were given an empty floor plan to create an entry way for whatever we wanted. I decided to create the entry to the Toy Story ride at Disney; my design was based around making Toy Story come to life.

IDSN Department

An empty warehouse, owned by East Carolina University resides in Greenville, NC. The project was to redesign the building and turn it into the new Interior Design Department with the hopes of actually moving the department into this building one day. We were to base the design around how we would want the Interior Design Department to be structured and organized.
