Santa Mark's Education and Dedication

Santa Mark earned a Bachelor of Santa Claus degree from the International University of Santa Claus in 2005. In 2006, He received my Masters of Santa Claus. His professional affiliations are with the Amalgamated Order of Real-Bearded Santas (AORBS) and SantaAtlanta.

What Santa Mark likes about representing "Santa" year-round

Santa Mark never knew that a favor for a friend in 2001 would turn into a passion and a commitment to uphold the true image of 'Santa Clause". Santa Mark shares the story that goes something like this;

"In 2001 I was asked by a close friend to portray Santa during an office Christmas gathering. Little did I know that the one night gig would turn into a lifetime's passion. One night is all that it took. The joy I received from 'visiting' with the children (young and old alike!) inspired me to become a naturally-bearded "Santa"...it [was] so rewarding to see that the childlike Christmas spirit still exists!"

The educational experience that Santa Mark sought after that first night was rewarding and life changing. "[The experience included studying the traditional folklore surrounding "Santa Claus", how to talk with children, how to be a fun and entertaining Santa, how to authentically dress the part, and how to properly embody the true and loving spirit of "Santa Claus"."

What Christmas means to Santa Mark

Santa Mark believes that his faith enforces his dedication to living the life of "Santa Claus" . His genuine friendly demeanor and soft-spoken way creates a welcoming persona that is enjoyed by all that know him. "Despite the hours of preparation and the hectic schedule, I wouldn't trade a moment of this time as "Santa". I believe children and adults have an expectation of what the real "Santa" should be like, and I strive to make that expectation a reality every time I put on the red suit. I have had so much joy making people happy wihile portraying this loved figure. As "Santa Claus", it is my purpose to represent God's love at Christmas by sharing the true Reason for the Season!"
