ABOUT US
WHAT WE DO
"Crossroads Writers Conference and Literary Festival exist to reinvigorate the role of literature, literacy and the literary arts in the Middle Georgia area. We do so with a conference to strengthen writing skills and the writing community; with a festival to promote public interest in reading and writing; and by donating a significant portion of our proceeds to the establishment of Creative Ruckus Academy, an arts education initiative for at-risk youth."
WHO WE ARE:

We have been funded generously by The Knight Neighborhood Challenge, the City of Macon, the State of Georgia and the Macon State Foundation as well as supported by the Community Foundation of Central Georgia, Macon State College, Mercer University and Mercer Press.
The board is Dr. Heather Braun, Dr. Kelly Whiddon, Dr. Monica Young-Zook, Dr. Shane Trayers, Dr. Chip Rogers, Dr. Lawrence Fennelly, Dr. Kevin Cantwell, Dr. Gary Richardson, Marc Jolley and Chris Horne.
