RJ Mackey Real Estate was founded by Mrs. Ruby Julia Mackey, born 1911, and moved to Robertson as a four year old child. There were 9 siblings in her family; she lived her entire life in Robertson. She married Francis Mackey who grew up in East Kangaloon. They had 2 children Frances & Marie. After her husband died suddenly in 1960 and having lived on a farm all her life she was suddenly without an income. She started a Real Estate partnership with her brother in 1961, which they later divided.
Ruby Julia ran the Real Estate Office from the small front entry room of her home for many years. In later years as the business grew Ruby moved the office out into the double garage which she converted in to half office space & half storage. Judy Fisk (Ne. Bailey) who is Ruby's granddaughter then started following her to inspections and as she grew older began helping her in the Real Estate office. Then at age 18 Judy obtained her license and they became business partners. In 2002 at 90 years of age Mrs. Ruby Julia Mackey Passed away and Judy continued on the Real Estate. Then in late 2005 the business again was continuing to grow and again the humble double garage was converted further, with the storage area being opened up and converted to office space. Our business is continuing to grow every day and we are doing our utmost to better serve our community and customers.
Judy is a born and bred local and has been in the Real Estate industry for over 30 years. Judy began in Real Estate as a child following her Grandmother, Ruby Julia Mackey, who originally started RJ Mackey Real Estate.
