WHAT WE DO.
Writers Block is a Cultural Arts movement based in New york City.
-We are dedicated to providing the general public with a higher quality of Art and Entertainment. We are dedicated to developing a viable, and sustainable market of Artists and Intellectuals catering to Artists and Intellectuals; In effect changing the social landscape of Urban Communities throughout all major cities; Begining with New York.
HOW WE DO IT.
-We do this by setting up events that serve as platforms for Artists and Intellectuals. At Writers Block, we create events that consistently evoke an atmosphere of Love, Thought and Creativity. We have created a community. We have created a Network. We individually, and collectivley 'are' the catalysts for change in the
Urban Community.

THE POETRY PARTY

The Poetry Party, our Flagship event held at the Bowery Poetry Club, was designed as a promotional event. For most, audience members and businesses alike, this event is the introduction to the Writers Block movement. Comprised of dynamic show opening performances by hand picked emerging artists, followed by the Writers Block Poetry Collective, topped off with the WILDEST after party imaginable; The Poetry Party boasts an evergrowing and consistently satisfied audience.

Events like "Spit that!" Open Mic and Love 2 Love Dance Party were designed to create a platform for audience members, giving them a chance to be an active part of the Writers Block movement. Democratizing the Writers Block experience is how we keep the movement movin'!
