Romans 12: 1-2 is the theme of this site and the people who subscribe to what is being presented here. The Apostle Paul wrote these words to the Roman Church while he was imprisoned for his faith, but these words are meant for all those who choose to follow our Lord Jesus Christ in every generation. There is much meaning here that escapes Christians who subsist only on the sweets of God's word and have no idea what the claims of God are on those he delivers from ignorance and spiritual darkness. For whatever reason they have succumbed to the temptation to relax on their way to Heaven and are truly "resting" in their walk with God. God cannot be pleased with this when multitudes pass by them in ignorance of salvation!Romans 12:1 - "I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God which is your reasonable service." Romans12:2 - "And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God." (KJV)What follows on this site is a challenge, for all who subscribe to what is contained here, to be servants of Christ indeed; wholly surrendered to the Lordship of Jesus and prepared to sacrifice all for him even unto death if he should deem it necessary.Further, this site is a challenge for us to live in the light of eternity, to live holy and pure lives that relect Christ to a world desperately in need of the gospel! We Christians have become so immersed in the business of this life that we have almost forgotten the blessed future that awaits those who are servants of the most high God or we seem to have relegated it to a distant memory perhaps not willingly but slowly and without our realizing it. We have also seemingly forgotten the Lords warnings of the horrible eternity that awaits those who are dying in their sin without hope in Christ. So while we absorb ourselves in this world and its entanglements, we are guilty of neglecting the call of God on our lives to go into all the world and bring the gospel to every person we can while we have breath. While we are not all called to preach; we are most certainly called to reach the lost by whatever means God has put at our disposal. "If ye see your brother in need and have the means to meet his need and you do not, How Can The Love Of Christ Dwell In You?" What greater need is there in the life of anyone than to prepare for eternity? It is high time we wake out of our slumber! Precious souls are perishing right under our noses while we pass them by and never warn them of their impending doom. We will have no excuse on the day of judgment for our insensitivity, negligence, laziness and lack of genuine concern when we stand before him whose gaze will pierce our very souls and expose our excuses for what they are. We must pray, O' God, please forgive us for our failure to obey you and turn us and lead us in the paths that you would call us to walk! Help us O' God to yield ourselves unreservedly to you in all things for the sake of those who Christ died to save! Put a fire in our cold hearts that will never burn out! We so desperately need you to do this because in ourselves we will never live for you or for others but will live self-centered lives! Move us past our weakness and replace our weakness with your strength! Grant us repentant hearts and give us tears to weep over those who are without hope in our generation! We ask this in Jesus' holy and precious name, Amen! This then is the call of this web site; to open our eyes and yield our hearts, souls, minds and strength to give Jesus Christ the reward of his sufferings! It is a call to everyone who loves our Lord and desires to move beyond their present state and be transformed by our God. It is to cry out as David did when he pleaded before the Lord, "Create in me a clean heart, O' God, and renew a right spirit within me."

The scriptures make it clear that our bodies are not our own (I Corinthians 6:19-20) "What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, AND YE ARE NOT YOUR OWN? For ye are bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, WHICH ARE GOD'S."There is no doubt to what this scripture is telling us. It cannot be more clear that we have been purchased back by God with a price, and further study of the scripture will make it very clear that Jesus Christ shed his blood to redeem us (or buy us back). Consider what God is saying here! In spite of our rebellion and wicked hearts living in sin and careless of our vile condition, God saw enough value in us to send his "only begotten Son" to suffer a vicious death for us that we might be purchased through the power of his shed blood. Should any person reading this feel that the word vile is too harsh let me affirm that it is not by opening the scriptures further to you. Isaiah 64:6 - "But we are ALL as an UNCLEAN THING, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we ALL do fade as a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away." There are no exceptions in this verse. All always means all! It can mean nothing else.King David in Psalms 39:5 declares, "Verily, EVERY MAN at his BEST STATE is altogether vanity." So our very best state before coming to salvation is vain and empty. We believe that we are something that we are not, and the devil has us deceived and blind to reality. Is it any wonder that men love applause and rejoice to receive praise and glory from other men rather than understanding that all glory and honor and praise is due to God alone! James 1:17 tells the wise that, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." So then everything that is good in us comes first from the hand of God so that we have nothing to boast about. If men rightly understood this they would flee from praise and exalt the Lord God Almighty!Romans 3:10-12 shouts out, "As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one. They is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God, They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable, there is none that doeth good, no, not one." Romans 3:23 goes on to say, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." We were all in the same boat, and that boat was headed for eternal damnation. Then, because of God's mercy and grace, he opened our blind eyes to the truth of his salvation and we were delivered from our stupidity and ignorance through the sweet revelation he gave us of our need and his cure for our sin. WE ARE PURCHASED INDEED! What a wonderful thing it is to know that our sins no longer rule us, and that we have peace with God through his mercy given freely through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.WE SHOULD WANT TO SHOUT IT TO THE WORLD! WHAT KEEPS US FROM DOING IT? Certainly God desires that we do so as he expressed in II PETER 3:9 that he is not willing that any should perish but that all men should come to repentance.

"Romans 1:2 - "And BE NOT CONFORMED to this world." - What is this verse saying to us? There can be no misunderstanding when we compare this scripture with the other verses concerning the same subject. Let us examine a few of them.Colossians 3:1-3 - "IF ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth, for ye are dead and your life is hid with Christ in God." l John 2:15-17 - "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him; For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world, and the world passeth away and the lust thereof; but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever."The world, the flesh and the devil is what I call "The Unholy Trinity." If any one of them were taken away from the other two all three would be of no effect. Without the world the devil would have nothing to tempt the flesh with. Without the flesh there would be nobody and nothing for the devil to tempt, and without the devil there would be no temptation. They are inseparable, and the core of evil in the universe. SO THEN, THE VERSES ABOVE ARE NOT GIVEN WITHOUT GOOD CAUSE! We are weak and need this instruction desperately!Notice that Colossians begins with the "biggest little word" in the English language - IF!This message is for those who are risen with Christ and nobody else. There are some who believe they are risen with Christ, but who have never died with Him and therefore cannot be resurrected with Him. There is a spiritual death that we must experience on this side of the grave if we hope to attain to the resurrection to eternal life. It is called dying to self! Sadly most of us do not even hear teaching on this vitally important part of the Christian experience, and we are in the world and of it but deceived into believing that we have somehow escaped it. We are so closely identified with this life that people looking at us day after day can see little, if any, difference between them and us! Without this death to self and submission to the absolute Lordship of Christ we are only shadows of what God would have us become and we are ineffective in reaching the world with the gospel that can deliver them from spiritual blindness and eternal damnation. The terrible result of this cannot be overstated! Death, Heaven, Hell and eternity hang in the balance!So "IF" we are risen with Christ we are to seek those things which are above, NOT the things of this life. We are to set our affections on things above. That is, we are to put the center of our being (our affections or our hearts) on eternal things. Everything this world offers to us is temporal and will rust, crack, rot or die. The world that is most real is the spiritual and eternal world, and it should have our most ardent attention; not for our sake alone, but for the sake of every person God brings within our sphere of life! We must see this! Souls are passing into eternity without being prepared for judgment and we alone have the means to deliver them from the judgment that awaits them if they die without the hope that only come in Jesus Christ!We are not to love this world or the things of this world. We are not to become attached to them to the point that we are not willing to let them go. We must be ready to separate from all our possessions and even our lives if the Lord would require it of us. We are to love and obey our Lord always, and anything or anyone who comes before him and that we would not give up for Him is an idol. This is serious business, and there are many who name the name of Jesus who would struggle greatly in this because they have been accustomed to certain pleasures and comforts that they would find it hard to give up for the sake of the gospel and those who need to hear it.We must not be "CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD!" Our priorities must be centered in our Lord and Master! We must die to ourselves so that others might live and Christ might receive the reward of his sufferings; the never-dying, immortal souls of mankind. God, help us to die! Our flesh cries out against suffering, and our self-centered nature flees from sacrificial living! Help us to remember the sacrifice of Jesus and to be ashamed of our cowardice and raise us up to be yielded warrirors for your glory, honor and praise!

Romans 1:2 - "But BE YE TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your mind." -- AH! HERE IT IS! The key to life as it should be! The most glorious life that could possibly be while we are here on earth! This will make every facet of our lives richer and as fulfilling as it can be!BUT.......How can we renew our minds? Is there some kind of magical incantation that can transform our thinking? Are we to site and meditate like some in the religious world do in hopes that we will somehow latch onto something intangible that will help us rise above all that keeps us from being our very best? Just what is the key to this wonderful thing called the renewing of our minds? THE BIBLE HOLDS THE ANSWER AND NOTHING ELSE DOES!Joshua 1:8 - "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein; for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."Psalms 1:1-2 "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the way of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law doeth he meditate day and night. THE FIRST VERSE IS VERY SOUND, and shows progressive backsliding or turning from God. First, a man could walk with the ungodly and listen to them. Then he will stop, stand with them and listen more closely to consider their words, and finally he will sit with them in fellowship and partake of their wicked conversation and their wicked lifestyles. BUT NOTICE THAT THE MAN WHO DOES NOT DO THESE THINGS IS BLESSED INDEED!Psalms 119:11 - "Thy word have I HID IN MY HEART that I might not sin against thee." Here we see David hiding God's word in his heart to keep him from sin. This is certainly the way to be transformed into a godly person because the word drives out the evil we would allow in our hearts and minds so that we do not live a life of wickedness.Psalms 119:97 - "Oh how I love they law, It is my meditation all the day."Psalms 119:105 - "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path."Psalms 119:130 - "The entrance of they words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple."Notice the attitude of these verses. Love for God's word, meditating on it, keeping it in front of us as a light in a dark world to keep us from stumbling, and knowing that God's word will give understanding to our simple, meager minds. We will be transformed if we will humble ourselves and receive this into our hearts and carry it with us everywhere.We enter this world with a sinful and corrupt nature, and left to ourselves we would soon destroy ourselves. A baby enters the world as a selfish and demanding creature. When a baby wants to eat or needs a clean diaper he cries until he gets what he wants! If that need isn't soon fulfilled a baby will go from crying into a tantrum of anger. If children were allowed to grow up without an kind of instruction and discipline, they would be the worst of beings - brute beasts, without consideration of any kind for others. They would believe that everyone should run to meet their needs no matter how inconvenient it may be for them to do so. That is where parents come in! The best of parents raise their own children to love and serve the Lord and to repent of their wickedness and evil rebellion against his laws and commandments. They will raise their children on the word of God in order that they might live useful and profitable lives in God's service and the service of mankind. The word of God brings light and life to the soul of man! Those who have no access to the word of God are raised in spiritual darkness and without hope except some false hope that arises from philosophy and religion without life! If we are transformed by the word of God and by his gracious gift of salvation, we could be used of God to lead others into the light of the gospel and their own salvation! It is wise for use to desire this transformation more than anything else in life.

1. There is one God in three persons, co-equal in every way who alone

rule and reign in the universe as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

2. God created all things,yet He is the only uncreated being in existence.

The three persons of the Godhead worked together in creation.

3. The crowning achievement of God's earthly creation was mankind, and

mankind was created sinless but with the free will to choose between

obedience to God or disobedience. Man chose disobedience.

4. Mankind decided to bow to the wishes of the devil and became sinful

resulting in a separation from God and was cast out of the Garden of

Eden. This resulted in a "sin nature" which was passed down to all of

mankind in every generation. This was also the cause of multitudes

of evils including disease, physical death and spiritual death.

5. God sent Jesus to live among men as the Godman or as scripture

names him "Emmanuel" or God with us. Jesus grew to manhood in

obscurity and as a man died a cruel death as the only pure and holy

and acceptable sacrifice for sinful mankind. All who accept this great

truth and repent of their wickedness are forgiven and restored to love

and fellowship with God and granted the gift of eternal life. Death is

abolished for them, and they will live to love and serve God forever!
