A self-taught artist, born in the Philippines, relocated to Southern California in 1969.
It was comic-books at the early age of 5 that began Ron's interest in art.
In elementary school, Ron exhibited expectional visional talent and was enrolled into the L.A. Unified School 'Gifted Program' for the arts from the age of 6 to 10.
In Middle & High school, Ron continued to excel in his art, receiving regonition and winning school competitions for his talent in drawing and painting. Soon after discovered Graphic Arts in his Senior year of high school and welcome it as one possible creative career.
After graduating Platt College of Design, his exceptional keen eye for design has landed him promonent positions with such top agencies and venues, like ICEBOX Advertising, House of Blues Concerts & Universal Studios. Along with publishing his own nationally distributed publication FLIP Magazine, that catered to the modern Filipino-American.
Today, Ron enjoys freelancing with numerous of clients that have benefited thier bottom line from his keen artistic skill and understanding of his client's needs.
EXPERIENCE:
2001 - Present
Freelance Graphic Designer:
• Discuss design needs, budget and deadlines with prospective clients.
• Produce new preliminary or alter existing designs specifications.
• Create mock-ups if needed for specific projects i.e. packaging, t-shirts, posters.
