FOR the past 40 years, Willington Players have been providing quality drama to Derby audiences.
Some People by Robert Scott, a new comedy, has been specially written to celebrate this amazing achievement.
This hilarious farce guarantees laughter from start to finish with its witty script and range of quirky characters.
Set in the shabby Lucky Star hotel, secrets are revealed when an assorted bunch of characters end up together for the weekend.
Unconnected stories collide to bring chaos and mayhem.
The clever script was enthusiastically brought to life by the cast.
Also, imaginative use of the hall meant that the audience felt immersed in the thick of the action.
This was a real ensemble piece, everyone working together to keep the plot moving. The husband and wife owners, played by Eddie Stanley and Angie Wilson, ably kept the action together and the pace fast.
Special mention must go to Pete Dolman and Chris Taft who played Richard Fisher and Skye Gibbs.
Their comic timing as the bungling burglars had the audience in stitches.
The cast obviously enjoyed taking part in this special production as much as the audience liked watching it.
We look forward to the next 40 years of high drama and entertainment.

Willington Players celebrated their 40th anniversary with a party at the Willington Village Hall. Old and new members came and there was some entertainment put on my different people including the Junior Willington Players. There were photos and videos playing of past shows and a buffet. Thank you to everyone that came.
